I recently saw in the news paper ads that there was a game that was going to be released soon that allowed you to go on the internet. Apparently all you have to do is insert the cartridge into your DS and be close enough to a wireless router, and BINGO! You have internet on your DS. Is this really ture?
Its actually out right now. you can get the ds lite version anywhere, but the one for phat can only be purchased online. Why they did that, i have no idea.
It's supposedly fully featured, flash and all and it comes with 256 MB GBA card to save to. HOWEVER - if you want to play games like Runescape or other flash games, remember that the DS is at it's core a very simple computer too, so while the dependencies for flash games are there, the performance may not be. I'll be finding out next week when I order it, heck maybe I'll even put up a post to give everyone a professional and expert opinion.
The DS Lite Opera Browser (and the online only version for oriiginal DS) does not have flash, just flashscript. It does not support movies (Youtube) or music. It does not play Runescape. You can surf the web and read web pages. You cant save web pages for later viewing offline. I basically and using it to read my favorite forums on my couch. I am going to look for a hotspot to use during lunch at work.
There's an excellent couple of "review" videos on YouTube for the DS Browser... the biggest limitations on it are the load times (sometimes up to 3 minutes)on a page, and the lack of Flash support.

It's great for a spot of quick browsing or reading your mail,but it's uses are very limited as it does not support flash or java.
you can use the mobile version of MSN though.

yes it does play flash games and yes you can play runescape if you wanted to

haha i hvnt played much lately,for some reason i got into maple story recently :'(,but runescapes the only online game thats playd thru a wndow that i know of so that why im mentioning it

I used to play that, but then I noticed how much better Guild Wars is. And it doesn't have that stupid members thing. Its all Free!!!!

but u have to pat a one time fee for the cool version,plus for some reason i coulndt get into that game,it dragged for me
