DSi future buyers which color you getting?

for you guys who plan on getting the DSi when it launches in NA and europe april 3rd or april 5th what color you getting?

blue, black?

i think the blue looks a little, how do i say this, cheap. but i like it. its bright, the matte finish won't show too many smudges on a blue surface

black is slick though. my problem is, the matte black finish on the back of my 120GB Zune shows weird white smudges for some reason out of no where, and i easily can rub them off and its good as new again. i'm afraid of this happening with the matter black of the DSi

i'm torn between colors, but i may cop out and get black. though blue is an eye catcher

Well, I've seen many different pictures of the blue DSi, and lots of them vary in color. I did watch a little movie, and some people were using one and it actually wasn't that cheap color like many of the pictures show. I'm pretty sure it's closer in color tone to the sky in super mario bros.

For that reason alone I want the blue one however if when I go to the store to buy one, and it doesn't look the same? I'll go black.

Definitely black. I've played on a white DS Lite as well as my crimson/black one. I found the white plastic surrounding the screens to be too distracting. The screens stand out nicely against the black.

Not only do I think the blue surround would be too bright, I think the non-neutral color could adversely affect the perception of colors. For example, if you were looking at a picture of a person the skin tone might look too yellow relative to the blue.

As for the matte black picking up smudges, the bottom half of my DS Lite is matte black and I've never noticed any on it.
