DSi hotswapping game cards while system is on

Well, this may have been addressed before but on my manual it says don't remove game cards while the system is on. But I do know that this was a huge feature during the DSi's launch where you can swap game cards while the system is on.

If so, how does this work? Is there a way to go to the system menu during a game, and than have the option to swap to another card without turning the power off?

Sorry for dumb question, but just wondering.

Yeah, you just can't swap while the game's running.

No, while you are on the menu, you can take out the game, and put in a different one without it freezing.

Yeah, you just can't swap while the game's running.

if you're already playing a game then you just press the menu button to go to the menu and change the game.....
