Mine is already kinda touchy on me!!! If I blow into the part where the L button is, it works fine....but I shouldn't have to do that. Especially since I take great care of my DSi. Anyone else having these problems?

it happened to my R button.

It wouldn't always respond, but i kinda just pulled the button up really hard and now it is better. I am not sure if it works every single time, but there aren't really any games i need to press the R button a lot so i don't worry about it.

same here. I think it could have been an easy fix, if had an N-screwdriver tool.

My friend's L button stopped working. Mine has been fine, and I've had mine since launch.

I always tell him to get games, then he asks about the controls and when I mention the "L Button" he says, "Can't play it."

On one of my DS Lites, the L button broke, and I just had to blow into it once, and it was fine for good.

ya i had to blow into my L button to get it working but after 30 mins of play it stops working then i would have to blow into it again but then it would only work for 10 mins lol and i played like that for a month and now it works like 1/100 presses if i blow into it or not.. i have been in same situation as ur buddy lol i always go on gamefaqs and look at a games guide cause there are usually control lists in there and if L is used frequently i dont purchase it. i just traded in most of my games that i couldnt play. i like games that allow differnt button configurations that dont require L on one of them :P

Same here with my DS Lite, the L button completely doesn't work, even if I blow in it.

I just got the same problem, except the L button still works, but you need to press it very hard. I'll try to blow on it and pull on it and see what happens.

I had the same problem, and had to send mine in for a fix. Now it works just fine. Nintendo's customer service is amazing.

Well i've read that if you cover the unresponding button with your mouth and blow in for 5-10 seconds,it makes your button responsive again.I guess that it works since alot of people said that it helped them.

I can't believe that this is still a problem. Looks like the DS/lite/i series is becoming the next PlayStation2, in terms of unreliability. It would go a long way to explaining why Nintendo sold so many units. I know in my end, I am on my fourth (or fifth?! ) DS lite that I've had to return (thank you best buy replacement plan) because of this very exact issue. It is also a pain in the ass for some games that then want to wipe all your save data (or at least, the WFC data) because of having to change DS's so many times. :(

I'm not saying it isn't crazy... but it does start to nag on me when it isn't working properly. It's like I get an OCD fit about it. I don't use my DS lite any differently from someone else, but I admittedly use it rather regularly. And even now my current one has been giving me troubles too. Thankfully, it hasn't been too much trouble demonstrating the problem to the guys at the customer service counter to let me get a replacement, but it IS annoying that I've had to keep replacing them so frequently.

Well, you know it's bad when the customer service people know you by name when you come in. :P

Argh, mother **** It's already happening to this one too with the L button. It's always the **** L button! This is just so bizarre for me. I've NEVER had problems with Nintendo home consoles. Yet this would now be about the fifth DS lite that I've got that has succumbed to this same damn problem. I'm **** sick and tired of this **** already. There has got to be a permanent fix for this bull****, and i Thought the DSi was supposed to do it... but my first one was so unstable on everything that I had to return it within a week, and with the refunded money, went back to a regular DSlite again. :|

I accidentally dropped my DSi, so my R button jammed.

It still works, but it sticks when I push it.
