So as we all may know is that the dsi is selling for 169.99. Well i wanna go and do that trade thing with gamestop where you could trade in you lets say ds for money to get the dsi. so here are my questions. How much money will be taken away from the price if i lets say give them 10 PS2 games and my ds. My next question is if it would be better to just sell them online instead.

Hundred times better to sell online, a thousand times better to sell online and face to face (no middle man like Ebay or Amazon). Trading in will be at a loss to you, unless you don't want to hassle with selling your products and want insta-relief and credit. Either way, just save your money for next year when Holiday specials roll around and the DSi is "Now only 159.99!"

You remember when the DS came out, and you could get like $70 or $80 if you traded in a GBA: SP for a DS?

I'm hoping that they do the same here. Maybe if you trade in the DS: Lite, since there will still be market for them, you'll get $100 or $110 towards a DSi purchase. That'd be totally worth it imo.

In England where i come from computer game shops r selling the DSi half price if you trade in your DS lite so if you do that you will pick a DSi up for around £75 but will have to trade your Ds lite.

haha...when I traded in my GBA:SP to get a DS, it was in good condition and everything, but they only gave me 30 bucks for it

I just spoke with a Gamestop employee yesterday, and he said that, as the release date (April 5th, N.A.) gets closer, they will do a special trade-in deal with the DS lite, where you get 70 dollars, instead of 45-50.

That's good but they should give a little more, like 80$. That would be really helpfull.

I agree. I was shocked to find out how low the trade-in value of the DS lite was. It would be nice if they raised the trade value, because I still need 75 dollars to get a DSi.
