I made this topic because there has been many mixed reactions on the DSi. Personally, I don't like it. The only differences are the cameras and DSiware. Everyone thinks that if you add a camera to something it makes it so much better. WRONG! Cameras just add some useless add-on that has to have a camera to work. Then there is DSiware. This is ripoff of Wiiware, and was added on so Nintendo could make 2$ more from downloads. The only things that are worth downloading onto the DSi is the old Gameboy games. Which brings me to Exhibit B. THE DSi CANNOT PLAY GAMEBOY GAMES. That was what made the original DS so popular. It could play 2 types of games. But now, they added DSiware in place of a the Gameboy slot. Are they out of there mind????? Anyway, let me here you're opinions on the DSi. This is my opinion.
dsiware is not a ripoff, they were both created by nintendo so i dont see how that works, and get over the gba slot, nintendo moved on, so should you, if you must play gba games, just use a gba/ds
I agree with you.When i bought DS Lite DSi was announced but i never thought of buying it because i love the old gameboy games.Backward compatibility is essential for every new console.

Get over the fact that we don't need a GBA slot anymore, they are not marketing this towards people who have been long time fans. For example when i got my blue DSi my girlfriend also got a black one, but guess what! She doesn't own a single Advance game! Why? Because it is old. She even commented how stupid people are for complaining about not having that slot, because it is a handheld with hundreds of games and you complain about using inferior goods. Give it up, cause I hate to break the news that the GBA stopped having games even made in about 3 years. It is phased out.

I think your problem is that you are misinformed. I'd explain, but I'm not in the mood to make another rainbow wall of text.
For me, it's the cracked hinges. I had a Phat, needed a new one, but held off on getting a DS Lite because I didn't want to deal with cracked hinges. The DSi doesn't have this problem anymore.
Dsi is good i like dsi ware and larger screens and new design and the camera is helpful too but the gba slot gone..some ds games like pkmn platinum have trouble to get pokemon but that doesnt really matter now, hardly some1 sells gba games
