DSi XL wait is killing me

So I'm still just waiting for the new DSi XL to be released in north america (or atleast even have a release date announced) and it sucks lol. I've been reading up on a few games and definitely know which ones I will get once the new DSi comes out. So yeah...just thought I'd rant about it. Anyone else waiting for the DSi XL as well? (btw please dont post anything like "JUST GET THE DSi IF U CANT WAIT LOLZOZLZOZL", I'm definite that I'm going to get the DSi XL).

Yeah, a PS3 as of right now. I just picked up the GOW collection as well, which btw is unbelievable.

I couldn't wait for the DSi XL either so I imported one from Japan. Take a look at my DSi XL site, it might help pass the time until it's release (or make the wait even harder :P).

I understand what you're saying, but I definitely will not be carrying my DSi around by any means (unless for family trips or REALLY long trips). I live in the kind of place where bringing that stuff out in public is just asking for trouble (lots of muggings/stealing, especially on public transit). I'll be using it mostly at home, and so the extra added weight/size makes no difference to me, but the larger screens do.

Is it usually the case for North America to get things earlier than Europe? Pardon my ignorance, but I always thought that Europe and North America received stuff usually at the same time, of not just 1-2 days apart?

1. How do the older DS games function on the XL? Do they use the whole screen, or do they use their original resolution? Any calibration issues?

2. Do the games look as vibrant as they do on the regular DS Lite?

3. Are the d-pad and buttons also bigger? Do the shoulder buttons feel better?

I know that it will come out in the first quarter of 2010 (jan feb or mar), but other then that I'm just waiting for the release date to be announced. It's annoying :(
