FF3 is hard because you can spend like 10 minutes getting through a dungeon and just die on the boss because you can't save in dungeons.

Id go for Partners in Time. I dont remember how long it was, but it was sadly shorter than the original (Granted, Superstar Saga did seem extremely long for what i expected)

partners in time is really fun but short like vader_fist said. But also possibly lost magic, that got a decent review.

I don't know of any great RPGs for the DS yet. :-( FF3 is great IF you're a hardcore old-school FF fan. If not, it's probably not for you. I've never played Mario and Luigi, but it sounds promising. Is it similar to like Paper Mario? I'm playing through a couple RPGs on my GC right now, otherwise I'd pick it up... As for more action-RPGs, there isn't any for the DS that I know of. :-(

I'm a FF maniac and I personally thought FF3 was a terrible game due to flaws I didn't like in the job system. I'd go with Mario and Luigi, Pokemon, or Digimon world for the DS. I was suprised by Digimon because I wasn't expecting it to be as close to an SRPG as it was.
