Ok, so I'm not 100% sure how this sorta stuff works, but we all know that the Wii can't do 720, right? Well, if the hardware can't go beyond 480, could the software go further?

Like PC games. You could have your display resolution at 1024x768, and you know how you can go in a PC game and change the resolution lower or higher or widescreen? Well, is it possible for Wii software to do that? Like how F-Zero GX for the Cube can be set to widescreen or standard.

Am I crazy, or am I just crayzee?

You could force the Wii to go higher, but that would be difficult to implement with the Wii's hardware. However GT4 on PS2 could be run at 1080i because it was built into the game, and I suspect someone will do that with a Wii game, but nothing past 720p I'm sure would be viable, and even still 720p is a big target when there is only so much memory available per frame on the GPU.
