I don't know if you guys heard the news but from a tweet of Nintendo, they actually said there will be no digital event like pretty much every year. So do you guys think it will end on a good or bad note? I don't know about you guys but after checking the GX (Gamexplain) comment's section about this news, I think people will get even "mader" then the previous year.

I'm excited to see that much Zelda all at once, and am holding out hope that the radio silence is because there will be a massive explosion of information at the nx reveal.

@WreckEm711: I'm hoping they are just saying this to not disappoint everyone like last year (even though I'm thinking that the previous one was decent-good)

E3 has always been a second Christmas to me. And we know that Nintendo will have their own event after E3 and before March 2017 some time to unveil the NX. When they do their own event, that'll be my second Christmas. And as long as I get my second Christmas, I don't mind.

As for Nintendo's E3 specifically, I think it'll be okay.

I'm happy to finally be able to see some extended Zelda gameplay, that's good for me. But overall, I think their E3 is a necessary one. They are making the right move to not run the NX out there, at the same time as these minimal console upgrades that people are going to be drooling over and wasting their money on. I don't think Nintendo wants to get caught in that storm and have the NX be viewed as an upgrade of the Wii U vs a brand new console.

@trugs26: Yeah and with the recent decision of a lot of companies, Nintendo isn't the only "quitting" E3.

@Sepewrath: At least we will finally get footage from a game that was presented since like 2014. (At least the modern version of it)

I was a little hyped about seeing NX info at E3 2016, but it is not a deal-breaker in anyway. Seeing some Zelda Wii U gameplay will be enough. I feel the NX reveal will be like a tsunami in game news when it is finally presented.

If they're seriously just showcasing one game, then yeah, it will be bad...

@Collie_Lover: Yeah, personally, it would be more effective if they would present more then one game but at the same time they are still presenting a BIG game. Pretty bad that it isn't a Wii U exclusive. But I still know why they are doing that.

@nintendo4evar: Theyll show more games, but the whole theme will be Zelda, and Zelda will be the only playable game. It sounds silly, but at e3, everyone will be wanting to play Zelda, so Nintendo will have Zelda demos everywhere. This also means Zelda will most likely release in March 2017 and not be delayed again. So no Zelda at e3 2017. Gonna be a good anniversary i think.

@iandizion713: Yeah, I've also heard this somewhere else. Hopefully the direct of the NX will bring the big guns. Also they have to market it well.

I think the competitors have an easier time with advertisement because everyone understands that they are the 3rd party game machines with a traditional controller. Nintendo's home consoles are so unique every time they cannot rely on everyone knowing what to expect, and why the new controller is a good idea. I think the surprise factor of their home consoles sometimes works for them (Wii) and sometimes works against them (Wii U). Everyone understands Nintendo's handheld consoles and knows what to expect from them. I think I will be delighted if the NX is a hybrid handheld/home console for example, but I wonder if the general public will understand why the NX is a good idea and how it is different/better than the 3DS and Wii U?

@Collie_Lover: You make a pretty good point that I never thought before. Maybe this explain a lot why the Wii U sold badly.

They're not showing the NX, the focus is Zelda, and Nintendo has basically nothing for the rest of the year outside of its handheld. It's going to be bad. I've seen every press conference from Nintendo since I started watching in 2005. This year, I'll be skipping whatever broadcast they have. No reason to see it when I know it's not worth watching.

@nintendo4evar: Thank you. I don't know if anyone knows for sure why the Wiii U was the lowest selling console this gen. It was probably a combination of factors. IMO the biggest factor was that gamers decided to go with the least expensive Nintendo experience on the 3DS. But I understand that not having some 3rd party games (sports titles and others) was a deal-breaker for many.

I have plenty of games to play on the Wii U for the next 5 years (maybe a lifetime), but I only play 3-5 hours a week on average. Nintendo is kind of in a rough spot in this time between the Wii U and when the NX comes out. Should they spend all of their time making games for the low-selling Wii U or direct most of the resources to the new console?

@Collie_Lover: I would love if they would continue to expand on the beautiful Wii U library but at the same time NX needs the best launch since like the N64 (In term of consoles anyways). Nintendo is in a "trap" but they can still can get out of it with ease.

I just picked up 4 Nintendo eShop games and 1 Wii Virtual Console game recently for my Wii U library. Nintendo eShop games: Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, Ghost's 'n Ghouls; and Wii Virtual Console: Golden Axe. These are older games from the NES era, but they are still great pick up and play games. For me personally, I don't know what else Nintendo could make for the Wii U-maybe some on-rails shooters. I know others would like another Metroid game, and some rpgs and sports games from other developers I guess. I am probably not the average gamer around here in some ways. Where most want more horsepower and open world 3D games (nothing wrong with that); I want sequels to older games like Choplifter, Gauntlet, and Joust with slightly improved graphics but still 2D.

@Collie_Lover: Yeah it could be great if they would revive franchise, but reviving them on a "dead" console (I hate to use that term especially with the Wii U) it isn't the best idea but at the same time it could be pretty cool!

If rumors still hold true, then I would love to see for us to have Beyond Good & Evil 2 start rolling out again with actual worthy news for once a change.

@Metallic_Blade: Wasn't Beyond good and Evil made by Ubisoft anyways?
