What is the E3 Media & Business Summit?
The E3 Media & Business Summit is an exclusive, invitation-only, three-day event which will offer the opportunity for both ESA members and non-members to stage major press events, and to have personal meetings in hotel suites and meeting rooms with media, retailers, developer partners, and other key industry contacts. In addition, the Barker Hangar will be converted into a software showcase where attendees will be able to casually test drive featured video games outside of the companies' suites.
When and where will the Summit be held?
The Summit will be held July 11 - 13, 2007, at several hotels and Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
What are the elements of the Summit?
The Summit consists of:
- Press conferences held by both console companies and third parties
- Private, in-suite meetings with leading game company executives
- A software showcase at nearby Barker Hangar where attendees will be able to casually test drive featured video games
- Serious Games and Independent games showcases at Barker Hangar
- An exhibition of winning art from the "Into The Pixel" video game art competition
What types of companies will be participating?
Companies involved in console, PC, online, and mobile game publishing and developing, as well as makers of video game hardware and peripherals will be eligible to participate.
Who will be attending?
Members of the media, retail, development and financial communities will attend, along with other key industry contacts. Between 3,000 and 4,000 people are expected to attend.
Can I attend?
Attendance at all events, meetings, and demonstrations will be by invitation only. Participating companies will determine who is invited. If you are invited, you will receive an invitation in the mail in April. Invitations are non-transferable, and no additional names will be added to the invitation list.

Entertainment for AllTM Expo (E for AllTM Expo), scheduled for October 18-20, 2007,at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The name replaces "GamePro Expo" - a placeholder while thecompany held a naming contest. More than 3000 entries were submitted on popular video game site GamePro.com. The winning entry was proposed by California resident Dante Padre.
The new name highlights the show's focus on entertainment and its openness and accessibility to thepublic. Building on momentum and pent-up demand that has grown within the consumer audience forall things related to computer and video games, event organizers anticipate its mid-October dates willlaunch an early holiday shopping season for the industry. The new name also reflects the crosspollinizationbetween traditional and digital entertainment - the reason behind establishing the show in Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world.
"E for All Expo will offer consumers the opportunity to test-drive the latest in games and gadgetry, as well as purchase products they enjoyed over the course of the 3-day event at on-site retail facilities. Additional attractions are in the works, including high-profile videogame tournaments; job fair/networking opportunities; family-friendly offerings; and the acclaimed Video Games Live concert.
The Expo will also take advantage of soon-to-be-expanded LA Live area adjoining the LA Convention
Center and Staples Center.
