Earthbound Review- Must buy for VIrtual console

Well, I just beat Erthbound the other day on the SNES.  Here is an honest review of this great game: 9.3 / 10

Oh yeah, someone can look for the link, but this game is reportedly coming out on virtual console.

Anyways, review:

Earthbound is definetly one of the best old RPG's out there.  The graphcs at the time were great, the characters were awesome, the gameplay gets addictive, and the story surprisingly turned out to be awesome, leaving the player wanting to play more and more. 

The characters in the game all play an important part in this adventure, which is great since they are all good people, none of them are arrogant, ect.  Ness, the protagonist of the game, is accompanied by a girl named Paula, who has PSI powers, a smart boy named Jeff, and later, a master of the martial arts named Prince Poo.  These characters are all completely different from eachother, yet connect very very well through out the game.

The story, which simply starts out with a meteore crashing near Ness, actually turns out to be this huge plot that is occuring while you venture farther into the game.  I won't ruin any of the story, but lets say that like any great stories, there is twists, irony, a great plot, and of course, a climax.  (whch were all EXCELLENT in ths game)

The game itselft is not too difficult.  The only reason I said that this game was "hard" was due to the fact that the last 4 hours (around 4 hours, maybe 3) of the game are VERY FRUSTERATING.  The game is very smooth until you get close to the end.  Then you literally start screaming.  Seriously, random enemy battles towards the end become SO ANNOYING, meaning you can get far and accidentally get caught off guard by an enemy and be KO'D.  Also, before you leave to face the final boss (Gigyas), you face a VERY TOUGH BOSS, (if you equiped Ness with great equipment, you shouldn't have too much of a problem)

All in all, this game was AWESOME.  Honestly, I would have rated it higher than a 9.3, but the end of the game just got too frusterating at times.  However, Earthbound overall is an EXEMPLARY RPG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earthbound is one of the top 10 RPGs of all time, for me at least. I played almost every RPG that has come out since SNES era and wasnt impressed with many of them post-SNES.

I would rate Earthbound a 10, even if it was harder at the end, but you'd expect it, and it makes the game more challenging and fun.

They came out with an Earthbound  3 (Mother 3 in japan), but they never brought it over to the U.S. and i hope one day they can make one for the WII
