I manage a game store, and every single place in town (including us) is sold out. We've all been sold out since launch. Sure there's a shipment here and there, but as soon as we get them they're sold the same day every time.
There is an obscure store in my town that has had one for sale for a month and no one has bought it...probably because nobody would think this store to have one...that's the only Wii I've seen for sale since I bought mine on December 11.

Why wouldn't you buy it and sell it on ebay? I haven't checked the prices recently, but I'm sure they're still over retail.
I live in Hawaii and the only place you can find a Wii is at the Military Exchange Store on the Marine Corps Base, but even they seem to sell out the 1st day they get re-stocked.
They are still pretty hard to track down. I managed to snag one off the toys r us website last week, but that was pure luck since they sold out within an hour. As for local retailers, I've never seen one in stock.
my good friend who works at futureshop not far from where i live says that when the anounce a shipment of the nintendos on a certain date ( each shipment is round 20 ish consoles) they end up with a line up before the store opens on that day, and says it takes round 20-30 min for them to be completly sold out. thank god i know the dam guy next shipment his putting a console aside for me :)
No it's not, I had to wait out and I just got mine like 3 days ago... entire stock was sold out before the store even opened (just from people in line)
    I saw two Wii-motes today. They were the first two I have seen naturally...um...ever. Honestly, I was only at Wal-mart for Puzzle Quest DS (the demo convinced me, not the 8.1 score and the claim of 100+ hours). Sadly i went home with nothing, for they did not even have the PSP game in. No Wii though, at least no Wii box with an actual console in it or that now-annoying video with the Wii woman. I hope you see one soon though, Super Paper Mario is gonna sell like hotcakes and make the Wii THE summer item of 2007. But don't take me word for it!
my life story: i asked a wii for christmas.. so my parents went by all the stores but they were all sold out, but they gave me the money to buy one.... sooooo... a couple of weeks ago i thought; ok im gonna buy a wii ( it was a day free from school). I went to the local mall to the 'dixons' and i asked for a wii. the man there actually laughed at me in my face:o he said that i could order it so i would have it within 4 months :? So i continued to the free record shop and i asked if they had a wii; again the man there laughed in my face, whereafter he bent down to grab a shiny white box and said: this is the first one we got in a month, and he got it just the day before.... ( he also told they normally got about 1-2 wiis per month) by pure coincidence nobody came by the store to pick it up, for the first time since launch day...... if i say so myself... im 1 lucky bastard LOL8)
I could get a Classic Controller at my local Walmart if I needed another one, but that's about it. I see skins, and organizers here and there, but no Wiis, remotes, or nunchucks. When I'm with my wife at the store I say real loud, "hey baby, why don't we buy a PS3, they got a bunch of them here!"
wow look at the poll results, over a 100 people have said it is hard to find one and only 10 havent, that should give you a pretty strong answer. It is hard to find one

If it's going to get harder to find in the summer, then I'll never be able to get one till next year! :cry:
We have Wiis, 360s, and PS3s in piles. In fact if I wanted to I could go out to Gamestop or Gamecrazy and buy one, but I think I will wait. I don't know how far you live from Fayetteville, NC, but we have plenty of Wiis. My school had a raffle with one as the prize. A freshman won.... :/
