You can read about the new additions here.Is there enough new stuff to warrant buying it again when I have already played Tri over 100 hours?

Thank ya sir
I hope they announce the release date for America at... or even before, E3.
Also, has Edge or any other source comfirmed the rumor that Monster Hunters 3G will have online multiplayer when it launches in the rest of the world?
OH. MY. GOD.
YES!
And I hope there's an international release. Preferably on the same month.
I'm getting extremely tried of waiting for JRPGs to come overseas.
This is great news, now we just need a release date for NA. Hopefully Capcom will add some form of online multiplayer, it just wouldn't be the same without it and that's all that really needs to be added. Silly to take out one of the games best features in the first place.
Seems like Capcom finally woke up also and decided to release the real version of Monster Hunter Tri. If you think about it, Monster Hunter Tri is really just an advanced demo of the demo they released before it's release. The title of the game is misleading, Monster Hunter 3: Tri, the Tri stands for Trial imo. What with the lack of weapons, armor, monsters and just the lack of overall content in general makes the whole game feels incomplete compared to every other Monster Hunter game. Having an online mode in Monster Hunter Tri is what makes it so great in the first place, single player only takes you so far.
I don't have anything against Monster Hunter Tri either, it's one of my favorite games on the Wii and one of my favorite game franchises in general. I've easily put in over 1000 hours of play time, maybe closer to 1500 hours and I could've easily doubled or even tripled that if it wasn't for certain people on the Wii Forums constantly trolling me to the point that I stopped playing the game entirely for a good six months. I still go back to it every now and then though.
Either way I'll be getting Monster Hunter 3G whether it has online multiplayer or not, I'll just be severly annoyed if they don't add it :P
i am excited to play it but the fact that there's no wifi just hows that its just lazy portelbert_b_23
How is it a lazy port if it has double the content of Tri?
I was disappointed about the lack of online multiplayer, but I realized that maintaining those servers must be expensive and it will be difficult to recreate the Tri online experience on a handheld. If MH3G does get online multiplayer for EU and NA, then it will not be as good as Tri's online.

it doesn't have twice as much content as tri, it adds in a new boss, of the old unneeded weapons that were left out because they are not worth it, The Mountain Stream area, and the awesome and fantastic dynamic shadows feature that give nearly life like shadows thats the best improvement in any monster hunter game hands down and some minor changes to the game more of makes up for 5 or 10% new content that tri didn't have. lazy port or not if it comes to n/a i will most likely get it because i love MHit doesn't have twice as much content as tri, it adds in a new boss, of the old unneeded weapons that were left out because they are not worth it, The Mountain Stream area, and the awesome and fantastic dynamic shadows feature that give nearly life like shadows thats the best improvement in any monster hunter game hands down and some minor changes to the game more of makes up for 5 or 10% new content that tri didn't have. lazy port or not if it comes to n/a i will most likely get it because i love MH elbert_b_23
It's not just a new monster, it's many new and returning monsters.
New:
Bracchiados
White Lagiacrus (subspecies)
Black Lagiacrus (rare subspecies)
Purple Jhen (subspecies)
Golden Ceadeus (subspecies)
Dark Jinouga (subspecies)
Pink Doboruberuku (subspecies)
Nargacuga Rare Species that can turn invisible
and Guran-Miraosu (new elder dragon)
and Subspecies do count because their attacks, weaknesses, materials, weapons and armor are much different than their normal counterpart.
Returning (revamped for MH3G):
Azure Rathalos
Pink Rathian
Silver Rathalos
Gold Rathian
Plesioth
Green Plesioth
Black Diablos
and most MHP3 monsters (which can be considered new for those who have not imported MHP3)
Tri had a total of 35 monsters. Tri G has a total of 72 monsters.
Tri G brings back the G rank which makes the game much harder than Tri.
and those "old uneeded weapons" are needed for a boost in content. It gives the game more variety.
Dual Swords may have a low attack power, but they're great for combos and extremely fast.
Hunting Horns are the best support weapons. A very unique weapon IMO.
Gunlance is a lance with ammo. It deals piercing damage which is effective against most monsters. It also comes with Wyvern Fire.
Bows are ideal for solo'ing elder dragons. Extremely powerful and tactical, and a weapon of choice for any skilled hunter.
I don't understand how all of this can be considered 5% - 10% more content than Tri.
I'm still on the fence about getting this one. If MH4 is confirmed for US release before TriG is released, I'll probably pass, but I loved Tri and I could certainly go for a portable version of the game with twice the content. I never could get online anyway, so it's no big deal if the game doesn't have it.
Time to hype this ish up: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSS1QpqEuIA&context=C3ecdfddADOEgsToPDskJjot72sdUgFqE7icrWVsFH
Hunting without online huh? Well considering it's a larger game this time around AND it's on a portable, the content should be more than enough to make up for it. Please come to the US! I'll buy a portable for the first time since the original GBA just for this game.
[QUOTE="Raiko101"]Decided not to pick up the cheaper Wii version, in the hope this will make it to Europe. Not overly fussed about the online, but would obviously prefer to play with others.spike6958Look at the picture again. Europe is confirmed, with a Q3 2012 release. It's just one source, i'm afraid. Sure, it's Edge, but it's still one source. In 20+ years of gaming, i've learnt that one source is never enough. Especially when the developers themselves have failed to confirm or deny such a statement. It usually means a misunderstanding or an assumption has been made. Or that the developer has unofficially announced a date to a third party, as they've not even confirmed plans themselves.
