At launch, a true gem was released for the Wii. It got lost in the launch's rush of games as it wasn't a Zelda game or an overly-advertised Ubisoft game (Raving Rabbids and Red Steel). Now that everyone's forgotten about it, this gem has been cut down to $20 and is affordable for all cheap video gamers. The game I'm talking about is Elebits.
Elebits is a truly unique game. You go around with a giant vacuum cleaner-like thingy, sucking up little creatures called Elebits (as seen on the box art above). These Pikmin-inspired critters supply electricity for the world, escaped from a lab and need you to recapture them. Each level is contained to an area and you're given a time limit in which you need to interact with the fully-interactable level, find Elebits that are hidden, and collect a certain amount of Watts from the 'bits in order to pass the level. The game's hectic; everything that you think is movable is movable and you'll wind up throwing it across a room looking for an Elebit. This game won Best of Show at TGS a few years ago, and it makes sense why. There's nothing quite like this game.
Now that there aren't many games out, why not catch up on ones that you missed a year and a half ago? Sure you can catch up on Boom Blox or Blast Works, but Elebits is cheaper than those games. If you want to use your Wii Remote as a gun-like thing, here's your chance to do it cheaply and to have a blast in the process.
