I picked up Mario Galaxy the other day and decided to play my Wii for the first time in a month or so. It downloaded a system update automatically, and now it gets error 51330 when trying to access any internet related functions. Nothing has changed on the router, and I have other wireless devices that are able to connect fine. I use WPA TKIP and have tried putting in the preshared key again, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

I'm gonna hazard a guess at, you've got two differant setups of router's
when you update it will try to connect to whatever is in slot 1 of the internet setting's, as for some reason it resets to that

check it's selected properly
if that isn't it, just delete the settings and connect the wii t it again

I ran into a similiar problem. My Router is a 2n1 (Router + Modem) and it was resetted to Modem after I updated my PS3 to 2.00. I had to reconfigure my Router so that it would function as a Router, not just a Modem. I guess you can give it a shot.

This happened to me too.

Do you have more than one connection option on the internet connection menu?

Here's what happened to me: I started out using the wifi usb adapter and set that as connection 1. A few months later I got a real router and set the router as connection two and put the usb adapter into storage. When I updated my system, my Wii apparently reset my connection settings to connection 1 which was no longer available. So all I had to do was set the connection setting back to connection 2 and all was right with the world. (By the way, this took me about 3 days to figure out on my own)

Hopefully that helps. If not, that's all I got!

I have tried clearing out all the connection settings, rebooting both the Wii and the router. Still getting error 51330. It was fine before it downloaded this system update. Now it won't connect at all.
