I found this on wikipedia:
Sanity Meter:
"The game's standout concept, patented by Nintendo (US patent 6,935,954 [1]), is the "sanity meter", a green bar on screen which is depleted under various conditions, generally when the character is seen by an enemy. It can be restored under various conditions, such as performing a "finishing move" on an enemy. As the bar becomes low, various effects occur, reflecting the character's slackening grip on reality. If the bar remains empty, further damage to sanity decreases the player character's health."
Hopefully, I'd love to see another Eternal Darkness. Silicon Knights has also said they were basically interested in making a sequel, but they are busy with some big game for the 360 at the moment, right?killerkop
Your half right, Silicon Knights are developing for the 360 because MS owns them now. But Nintendo own all the rights to ED and I did read an age ago we would see something from it (they patented the insanity meter lol). Sorry no link, it dates back to before launch and I don't have time to dig through the internet now :(.

SK is not owned by MS.sadly its very unlikely that a ED2 will be released, the first one wasnt mainstream enough and didnt sell very well, to my knowledge newaysflclempireI remember reading somewhere that the people who made ED are planning on turning it into a trilogy after they're done with their current planned trilogy. I think it was a news article from one of the big gaming blogs can't remember which one though.
