Does the Wii have a thing to plug a ethernet cord in it or do you need to buy something for it?

the wii has an ethernet port, along w/ built in wireless.purple_MAN1832
It doesn't have an ethernet port, but you can buy a LAN adapter for $30. It's much better than wireless one.

No not really. You get ease of use with no cords with almost no hampering connection.[QUOTE="sdcazares1980"][QUOTE="purple_MAN1832"]the wii has an ethernet port, along w/ built in wireless.Duckman5

Even with its hampering connection, its much better to get the LAN adapter because you won't get any "interference" issues. It's direct and to-the-point.
