Or maybe they should be put into holiday events (this may not work due to other countries). Maybe darkrai could be released on holloween, and cresselia on Valentine's. Shaymin in Easter, and Manaphy on Christmas.MetaKnight50
cool idea, but wouldnt that take a really LONG time to collect the Pokemon?

True...I thought this might come up some how. But still, that is one variable a should've considered. And due to the fact i live a far way from toys R us, its hard for me to get an event pokemon. You are right by the way, it would stink to wait a long time for christmas or holloween. Also i forgot to add in that not all countrys have easter or valentine's day, therefor, this idea will NOT work.I think they're fine the way they are. If catching Shaymin or Darkrai was as easy as just catching them in the wild, or some other insanely easy requirement, then it wouldn't be called a legend.
Your very lucky if you happen to at Toys R Us the day Darkrai was released, and you can rub it in your friend's face. But if Darkrai was as simple to get as a Magikarp then it would loose its legendary-ness, right?
LOL, rub it in your friends face? What a joke. Im not even sure a 45-1hr min ride is worth going to kb toys or Toys R Us to get a pokemon. And as a matter a fact, its even EASIER to catch the event pokemon than a magikarp, its called ACTION REPLAY. And as stated by someone else, yes. if you buy a game, expect all the pokemon to be in there. You shouldn't have to waste gas going to....wherever.I think they're fine the way they are. I think its simply ridiculous. I'm sorry if you guys want to be nice and *try* to see Nintendo's logic behind this, but it really just makes no sense. If I pay 40 dollars for EACH version of the game, I should be able to get all the Pokemon for that generation. And even IF I had a car, and IF I had the time to go to a ToysRUs, and IF I was willing to wait in line for something that should have came with my game, I don't even think that Nintendo is still giving the old Event Pokemon like Mew and Serebii anymore... any confirmation on this?drsaamahUhh.....whats a Serebii????
Oh, yeah, its so hard to go to a toys 'R' us and get a darkrai.
Theres this little place just north of the US of A called Canada. A third of the population is litterally a lake away from the US, and we still dont get events. we're practically there, but no.Thats why I bought an action replay People complain that we are cheaters, hacking the game just for a pokemon, but would you buy a 20 dollar device that lets you get a lot more out of games, or drive around the whole of lake Ontario just for a pokemon?
There's no shame in my game.
BTW: once you unlock mystery gift on DP, there are 3 ways to get event pokes or items:
Wi-Fi, a friend, or wireless.
Wi-Fi is genious, but Nintendo has never used mystery gift before, I dont think.

Ok thanks. It's been said before in this thread and I'll say it again... why should these events even have to exist? I mean... I bought the game... why am I not allowed to "Catch 'em all" unless I go to some event? It's just a little silly, if you ask me.
Another well made point... I'm a Canadian. I don't even get the opportunity for events, as far as I'm aware. So, naturally, I'm looking for an Action Replay so I can get the pokemon that are restricted to me. Oh well.
Although, I remember there being an event in Oshawa at the OC where I got a Mew wayyyyy back when Pokemon Stadium first came out. I traded a Grimer for a Mew on my Pokemon Yellow... Good times.
I find the pokemon legends to be awesoem pokemon. However, i find it odd that you have to go to a nintendo event just to get a darkrai or Shayman. I mean, why should i travel to NYC for just one or 2 pokemon? This only encourages othe rpokemon players to buy gamesharks. Just to be clear I am NOT ranting about this (well kinda), i just don't see why i should go to a event to get a darkrai. IMO i think that they should just be put in the game. EX: You need to catch Cresselia to get Darkrai. Sounds fair, right? OR, just put in a code so that in the next pokemon ranger game there will br event pokemon. Thats how some of you may have gotten Manaphy.MetaKnight50
Thats it (having to go somewhere just to have em makes me mad too!!!) I've done this before, I've had cheat codes I would say they ARE in the game you just need something to activate it without codes. Now if we could learn what we need to activate it with WE woulden't have to go to NY to get it AND without codes.
