I went to my local non-chain shop today just to browse and I found Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon for $18, I checked my phone (simply becasue I know FE rarley comes stateside and havent seen this title before at any store latley) and foundit on amazon going for $40, so I jumped on that one.

You guys have any similar experiance?

Not super rare, but I remember for the longest time it was impossible to find a copy of TWEWY in-store anywhere. I was living in Mississauga at the time which is part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA - 5 to 6 million people). So you can imagine how happy I was when I found my copy :).

Resident Evil: Deadly Silence. Kinda hard to find these days unless you get it from E-Bay or something. Can't remember the exact amount, but I paid less than $20 for it at Gamestop.

I find rare games in Gamestop all the time for super cheap! Gamestop does not sell games based on collector status which is awesome. I picked up Etrian Odyssey for 10 bucks and Etrian Odyssey 3 for 12 bucks. Also found 3 of the Ace Attorney games for between 10 and 20 dollars. It's nice knowing if I don't want one of the games later on (unlikely) that I can sell it for quadruple what I paid for it on ebay. This is the only reason I still shop at Gamestop :D

Its impossible to find in Canada. I was going to end up paying over $100 anywhere I looked.

Some, like 'My World My Way' for the DS at a Gamestop for $7.99, 'Inifinte Space' for the DS but sold it and profited like $42, Devil Summoner 2 at a local Gamestop for $16.99, a sealed copy of Sakura Wars: So Long My Love' for the PS2 for $16.99. 'Super Robot Taisen' for the DS with soundtrack CD in perfect condition for $8.99 at a Gamestop. Resident Evil 3 for the Gamecube at a Gamestop, Pokemon: Gale of Darkness for the Gamecube for $13.99 including the limited edition poster in great condition. A sealed copy of the special edition of Atelier Totori for $30.

Other rare games I've picked up like the original Devil Summoner and .hack 4 Quarantine I've had to get on Amazon or ebay.

I found Infinite Space, and although this isn't really rare, i found a Jump Ultimate Stars at a Play N Trade. Gamestop doesn't see foreign language games, at least i think so.

I found Conker Live and Reloaded at a local pawn shop. I was very happy as I never came across it before and I really wanted to experience the upgraded version of Bad Fur Day (one of my favorite games ever). Unfortunately, I brought the case to the front counter and they later inform me that is has been stolen. Why is the case even displayed then? What a tease.

Sora278

I thought I was pretty much the only person who played or liked Cubivore. I rented it way back when and I kinda wish I had picked it up when i had the chance. I know a game like that won't ever be coming out on the Wii U's VC or anything like that.

I never really look for rare games when i go to game stores. I usually have a game in mind and just look for that one game. I don't feel like being a price gouger and I generally have any game I want to play already.

I do have plenty of rare games in my collection though, although pretty much all of them are RPGs like Skies of Arcadia or Riviera: The Promised Land. The only rare non-RPG games I can think of that I have are the two Custom Robo games released in the states.

I recently found a brand new copy of the Dark Spire with the sound track at Gamestop. And a couple of years ago I found a PAL version of Elecktroplanton at Gamestop but I didn't buy it.

I may actually be getting it as a gift from my friend! ^_^ Yes I thought that was a very creative game and so different from anything else and gets challenging many times.

Lucky you. If I ever did manage to find a copy I'd jump on it in a second. I still can't think of a game that's quite like it. Whether that's a good thing or not is an entirely different matter, but it's a very unique and overall fun experience.

I think the game was amazing, some people can't get past the graphics but that's their problem.
