I'd have to say yeah. Even though great games come in extremely few amounts for the ds, the systems been out for so long your time will be pretty occupied with good games until another comes out.
Check you like what it has to offer first. There's already far too many "I brought a DS and don't like any of the games" threads around here. Buy based on game library.
I was on a plane the other day coming to florida and there must have been about 6 kids with DS's and all I heard was them playing MKDS and that same sound that goes off when you start a race. lol. I had my DS with me also so I decided to take it out and start playing. It really is the most popular gameing console right now.
i finally broke down and got one recently because of Dragon Quest IX coming for it, but in the meantime i've been playing New Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart and Castlevania and Brain Age and i'm definately glad i go it! There are a ton of games not worth your time, but there are some amazing games that you just have to play too.
I bought one a few weeks ago just to play Rayman Raving Rabbids. How sad am I, nearly 18 and I'm playing Rayman, lol. Anyway, yeah you should splash out and buy one, I'm glad I have one. It's a change from the PSP, so instead of playing GTA or shooting people you can play Hotel Dusk or Rayman or even Mario.Â
If you are just gettin a DS now there are so many great titles to choose from I would say that there are around 20 must have titles with many other good games so yes get it!
Why not? I'd say just about everyone can find something they'll enjoy with the Nintendo DS. My brother just bought a DS Lite yesterday and a copy of Pokemon, and he's 21... if that doesn't say something about how massively appealing the DS is, then I don't know what does.
