sukurai seems to like the GC controller the best, and i bet it's not for the rumble. He obviously can't name the faults of the control designs. I mean seriously, how are they gonna pull of having the wii mote on its side without any motion.

Except that it's been said that there will be NO motion control - at least during normal play.

I know I'll end up to play on the GameCube controller since I'll train myself with Melee but I know I'll try every controls. I don't care if the wiimote + nunchuck don't have the motion. I don't think it's possible without to be tired.

IGN also confirmed that SSBB would feature "GameCube-sty.le combat -- not Wii-sty.le motion-controlled combat". And guess what, it didn't happen, SSBB supports two Wiimote setups. The only words that matter there are Sakurai's: indeed, he kept the GC controller a possibility.

As I said, it's useless to trust one year old IGN words.

Oh, well good thing they're SAKURAI's words and not IGN. You yourself quoted the thing about Sakurai saying we might want to keep the GC controllers in order to sort of "prove" that the W&N scheme is possible (which I said would probably happen anyway). These are Sakurai's quotes, not IGN's.

IGN said no motion, not Sakurai. IGN was overunderstanding his words, too bad for them. Sakurai only talks about keeping controls simple and supporting the GC controller, period.

Today this IGN article was proved wrong concerning no Wiimote support, can't wait to see it proven wrong once again, so you stop going against evidences so blindly.

There's really NO way to misinterpret that. If you have anything else to say to me, please take it to the PM system. Jordan is getting pissed as hell, no reason to keep angering him.

"Under the direction of series creator Masahiro Sakurai, Super Smash Bros. Brawl will feature classic, GameCube-style combat -- not Wii-style motion-controlled combat."

This is also very straightforward. No way to misunderstand that. 100% GC, 0% Wiimote. But it is 100% wrong!

Not trying to take sides, but you do have to let in the option, Hyper_Shado, that between when that article was written and now, they could have decided to implement motion controls even for normal play.  This also means that Wintry_Flutist should not jump to conclusions about motion control being used just because it's there.  I think the best thing to do is what everybody was told to do for what the control schemes are going to be.  Wait until Smashbros.com gets an update telling you.

Well, if you can tell me how to perform all SSB standard moves with the Wiimote alone but no motion or why not feature motion to differentiate W+N from the GC controller, I may change my mind.

I didn't know not saying anything on the subject = changing their mind. Until stated otherwise, it stands as true.

classic and gamcube controls are the only ones I'm using.  The Wii-mote options seem as if they don't have enough buttons

Such beliefs amaze me. Mainly when you look at the GC pad and you realize it hasn't so many buttons, and some of them even have the same functions!
