Fan at the bottom?

Anyone notice that there is either a fan or an air intake device on the bottom of the wii? Im not sure which it is but if its a fan then when leaving wiiconnect24 on i suggest you put the wii horizontily.

ummm... it is not a fan, if it was, my wii cant breathe, and nintendo isnt stupid to make such a dumb mistake like that

Physically speaking, placing the Wii in its vertical stand allows for more surface area. More surface area translates to quicker cooling allowed for by more of the system being exposed.

ahh if the wii is on the wii stand it elevates the wii so air can enter an air intake vent located on the bottom of the wii which helps supply the fan, read your manual please!

EVERYBODY CALM DOWN! i read the manual very thuruly (however you spell it) but its been a long time scince i first got my wii.. it was an honest mistake and i was just wondering what it could be.. you guys don't gotta attack be about it.

Not that they are attacking you, it's just that you claimed something that is not true and recommended people to do something that would not benefit them at all. Believe me, there is no fan at the bottom, I should know, I opened my Wii up in pieces to paint it.
