Mine would have to be Link or Mario. Mario because it was one of the first games I ever played. Link because Twilight Princess is my favorite wii game.
Both of my favorites are from Super Mario World, but they aren't main characters. I like Blarrggh, the lava creature, mostly because of it's name.And I like the Mega-mole, mainly because it amused me that Yoshi could eat him even though he's three times Yoshi's size. I don't really have a favorite main character. Maybe Wario.
i hate to go with the obvious but the original legend of zelda was an awesome game and took up much of my weekends in those days so i will go with link
It's not a single character but I really like the group of Fire Emblem characters in all the games, the way some relationships develop, the strong, bold and unique attitudes and personalities of your troops. It all really helps to make them seem more human. I personally can't pick a single Nintendo character that I like more than all the others though.
My favorite character is easily Samus Arun, if she could be considered one. If she isn't, in that case it would be Luigi, definitely cooler than mario.8)
Honestly it was that mole creature in Banjo and Kazooie. I cant remember the name since Kazooie kept fumbling his name, "Googles" "Bottels" and the like. Also loved Mumbo Jumbo from the same game... Actuall I loved all of the Rare platform characts, they all had great personalites.Unfortuantely Rare didn't cary any of this over when they moved to M$. Mrs Dark and Kameo are flat and very uninteresting characters.
