That's asking a lot! Those games are sooo good. So hard to pick one out, they're all my favorites... If I had to choose only one then I say FF:IV.
Edit: TWEWY is top notch, but for me the edge goes to FF:IV just because... I don't know... might seem silly but I didn't like the content of the items.. they were all excellent ideas and brought something new to the table with the pin system.. I just thought having clothing, pins, pop and hotdogs for upgrades/boosts way too consumer involved... just seemed too kiddy/ teenager for me. But with that kind of setting and story I wouldn't be able to come up with anything less generic than the old 'armor and health pots' theme. Besides, it just wouldn't work... Can't think of anything better it was just something I had to look past to enjoy the amazing gameplay.
The World Ends with You, I have FFIV, and I got bored with it right away, World ends with you has A LOT of depth and side quests that provide almost infinite replay value!
No one played it so no one else will say it but FF Tactics A2 was great. Over 100 hours of game play on a DS game? Cant beat that.whosgotthe311
I own four of the games listed, (missing Chrono Trigger) and though I liked all four, (well, FFIV not so much) I have to say The World Ends with You would probably have to be my favorite. Final Fantasy Tactics a close second.
I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but when I went to replay it, I noticed it had zero replay value. All of the "secret reports" were available on Gamefaqs and it wasn't worth the effort of trudging through a painfully linear storybook-game just to "legitimately" read them.
It was nice while it lasted but I traded it back in shortly after beating it. Here's hoping the next original IP from Squeenix had multiple endings to give it replay value.
I currently have played through all of those games, and I must say, although nothing really changed with the re-release of Chrono Trigger...it is my favorite for 2008. Mainly because I fell in love with the story when I first purchased it for the SNES so many years ago. Second place though...Final Fantasy Tactics:A2. A great addition to the series!
I'd have to say The World Ends With You, for it really is a very great game. Sure Chrono Trigger is "awsome" or whatever and Final Fantasy 4 is an excellent remake, but TWEWY takes the cake, and not only b/c it's a new IP instead of yet another remake/port and so on. It's just so fun. I don't even like the hip hop theme of the game or the upbeat soundtrack, but the gameplay is truly addictive. That alone is worth getting the game. I hope SE decide to release a similar game with this time, a longer campaign.
