They re-did I-VI on GBA and III on DS. Does this mean that VII is next after Revnant Wings. With the amount of people who have seen the movie and played the spin-off games, would they finally re-do it. I heard they are remaking it for PS3 as well, but that may have just been a tech demo. We need more copies of it, cuz it is impossible to find (ebay doesn't count).
No. What i meant was, I-VI were remade for GBA. Well, to continue that, they obviously couldn't use GBA, cuz that would cost more money to make, cuz it would be all new. For DS, it would basically just be a port, so why not. It would make them alot of money. As well as make alot of people happy. If they keep doing remakes, they would definitely only go to IX. Anything after that would be pointless, until the next gen.
ok you realise that the crisis core for psp is the last ff7 spin-off right? and the ps3 remake is most likely false since squ-enix said they had no intention of doing one. ff8 is possible because they haven't done anything with it yet. but don't expect ff7
While it is hard to say if they will ever do this, I wouldn't put it past Square Enix to do it. They do love milking the crap out of Final Fantasy after all.
If they can make 4g memory sticks, I am sure nintendo can figure out a way. Maybe make a speciel cart that holds enough memory to make the game. I for one wouldn't complain if my game stuck out some to add some extra memory to make something as grand as a FF7 remake.
Hahahah I asked this question some time ago and it would be cool if they did do it but I really doubt it will happen. Oh and I am pretty sure that there are 1GB Ds cards in the works, so I don't see why they couldn't put it on 2 cards.
Not going to happen. FFI-VI were all on the NES or SNES. VII was the first Final Fantasy game on the non Nintendo console (or at least the first numbered one if by some chance there were others). If FFVII is remade it'll go on the PSP or PS3, not the DS.

Lol, just because FF7 was made on the PS1 doesn't mean it can't be put on the DS. Sony's exclusive rights to that game ran out long ago. Square can put the game on any system they wish.
FF12 just came out on the DS, check out some videos of it on www.dsdatabase.org. There is more than what the front page has to offer, go to the videos section and click FF12.

i'm guessing it will be on the psp. i think the ds could do that but i'm not sure. and Sony has milked FF7 for all it's worthÂ
it is a higher chance that it will happen now than before,lately square enix announced that they will have a strategy plan with remakes and sequels,spin offs...
They probably could fit it on 2 ds cartridges if they wanted. First of all FFVII was 3 discs long but they had copy a lot of the same data from disc to disc(eg towns, monsters) The pc version of FFVII is only 1gb, Most of that is is occupied by movies and with better compression techniques they can make the video sizes smaller. The DS has a pretty small screen so they could lower the resolution of the game itself, saving more space and the backgrounds are pre-rendered so basically its moving around on a static image. But they most likely wont release it yet. I bet they'll probably milk ffVII for even more that it can be milked for and then finally when it becomes milked for all its worth will they probably. Though i must say if they're going to make a remake any time soon the best time to announce it would be in september this year as it will at that point have been a decade since the game was released.
They certainly will eventually, but don't count on it happening any time soon, and also I wouldn't neccessarily count on it happening on DS, although thats certainly a possibility.
I see it being made for the DS before the PSP. The DS has a way larger user base, so that would mean more money releasing it for the DS vs. the PSP. The DS pretty much has double the installed base as the PSP.
