Wow. Just finished the FFIII for DS. I have been playing this game for 51 hours. And it was an agonizing experience. The graphics is ugly, no-save in dungeons is pain. But...The most terrifying part is the animations. The attack, battle starting, battle ending and especially spell animations are very and unnecessarily long! Without them the game would end in 25 hours! Just avoid it like a plague. And why 3D? 2d look much much more better. Look at the PSP remakes of FF1 and FF2. I enjoyed them fully and they made me to feel like in a Fantasy World. In a last, gleaming Final Fantasy...

Yes. Cause i want to play all Final Fantasy games from 1 to "whatever number is last". And the Gamespot review about the game was good too. The beginning wasn't bad. The save issue sucked when i came to Crystal Tower. Can not save in myriad of time and when you die play another 3 hours to reach the same place again. Never thought this game would suck that much. It had some moments of course. Like the first time you fly out of the flying continent. The mystical world, everywhere strange clouds. First encounter with Bahamut. The Odin. Zantetsuken. World in a world. World of Darkness. Good soundtrack. If this was on the PSP it would be a very good game i think. Maybe would be better than FF1 and FF2. Also it would be fast to play.Who needs repetitive and slow animations hinders your experience.Make it quick. Attack, make spell, in and out of battles. I wish they will make a 2D PSP like the FF1, FF2 and FF4. They look lovely.

Now you can play Final Fantasy 4. One of the best games in history. Trust me, it's miles better than FF3. And FF 6 is the best one imo.

Why play through the entire thing if you hate it that much?

And yeah the game is something of a love- it- hate- it, my friend loved it to death, he said he had a mx level Geomancer. But it got stolen.

I liked FF 3 for DS but it was brutal. Felt like a masochist playing through it. :P

Still, felt good to see those end credits roll. FF 4 for DS is MUCH MUCH better but still VERY difficult compared to the original. I'd recommend it still though, very highly.

Ia gree. FF4 is one of those games that challenges you and makes you say "BRING IT ON!" It's a fantastic game, but very difficult, especially if you don't properly prepare yourself.

So you don't like that an old RPG has old mechanics?

Im playing through it right now. Im about 30 hours in. It can be frustrating, but hey, this is an old school RPG. Thats just how they are. Ill have to pick up FF4 after hearing the good coments about it.

And thank you kind sir. At least you're willing to stick with it. FF4 through 7 were the best ones in the series. I'd also suggest you skip FF8. FF9, FF10, and FF10-2 were good, never played FF11, FF12 was meh, FF 13 sucked monkey b****!!! I won't give anything away, but I'm just giving you a heads up.
