final fantasy 3 help and friends

hi i just ot final fantasy 3 on ds yesterday its a great game so far im on the bit where the vikings tell you to go defeat the dragon. i read a walkthrough and know that u just gotta kill the rat and be mages. the thing is my mana (well i think it counts as mana its like points at the side of my spells saying how many times i can cast it) anyway my mana runs out by the time im at the rat so i cant use my magic or wepons cus im small so i was wondering how to get my mana up or maybe i thought "if i can somehow turn my mini spell off when i reach the rat bit then maybe i can attack it with my wepons again so when i run out i can still deal good damage"

is this possible to reverse mini ?

also my second point is friends whats it all about, theres a chick looking thing talking about friends and wifi letter sending, i dont understand wifi or anything like that so if you could message me that would be great, i dont know if ive got this right but if you get a friend via wifi i think they can help you so maybe sombody can help me kill the rat somehow

There is no way to turn off mini. All you have to do is run from all the battles before the rat.

Wi-fi lets you send messages to other people, which when done with other side quests in the game, will allow you to do certain things, get certain weapons, and even a new clas.

You don't have to run. You just need to spend some time level up your guys before you face the rat. Most Final Fantasy games need you to do this to some extent, and FF3 is no exception. Just spend some time early in the dungeon fighting, and then go back to the town and stay at the inn to recover your spells. As you characters job levels increase, they will be able to cast more spells, and you won't have to run away from battles.

Also, the little chick looking things are called Moogles.

I agree with this guy because leveling up at this point in the game is real hard. You can turn off mini when you are out of the temple (I did not want there to be any misunderstanding about that Ha Ha :D)

thanks guys i got past the rat now and now im at the bit where you do the tower of owen, this bit is sooooo anoying i hate it i might train my characters in the bottom level of the tower for a bit until im better because i got to the floor where the voice says something like umm.... i think it was try and find your way now but anyway you have to press a by a door looking bit to get into the next bit but i had two of my party members dead by now and just walking over too it died, my characters are lvl 12 and i have 2 warriors a freelancer and a red mage, my red mage and freelancer are probably the best but yeah i still died

so also the friend code thingy well i havent even worked out how to connect to my wireless yet but ill try and when i have can somebody please let me know their code so i can befriend them.

p,s i dont have a clue how to work wifi or connect to my wireless so if you havee any idea please message me thanks guys

im having trouble connecting so ive checked out the problem and acording to nintendo its my SSID. when i tried seraching for my router it said the security setting was not supported or something so i found out my security setting needs to be changed so its set up to wep. i dont know how to find out what my SSID is or how to change my setting to WEP access please can somebody tell me i realy need to know or i wont be able to connect.

i also tried manually typing in each code it asks for on my wifi options but the only one i didnt know was my SSID code so even when i tried saving settings so i could try again later it wouldnt save because it was incorrectuntil i found somthing on the livebox but it looks like it says SIV not SSID but anyway i tried it and hey presto i couldnt connect but i could now save it. this hasn solved the problem but now you know what ive tried so back to the big question .... how can i find my SSID and change my security setting on my computer to WEP ???
