Maybe it's because I played it and beat it years ago that it lost its appeal.
I have Lunar Knights and I am enjoying it.
I would "suggest" getting FF3 first ONLY if you have not played it before. The game is very linear and all in all is a "Level up to Win" kind of game. Lunar Knights is somewhat similar but it has a slightly more engaging story. Either way both are great.
ff3 is sooo badly overrated...like cmon its so freaking oldschool if ur a teen u probably cant pay attention to this game for longer than 5 minutes, so ur better off with something with a lil more action like lunar knights, and to cover for the games 'length' problem u unlock something when u get ur characters to level 99, yeah sounds stupid but still makes the game longer.

What's to stop you getting your character to lvl 99 in FF III? Plus the storylines longer in FF III anyway so low in behold FF III is a longer game and no more less enjoyable than Lunar Knights.
Personally, as much as I absolutely love Lunar Knights, I still prefer Final Fantasy over pretty much every other DS game.
I think it comes down to whether you want an old-school turn-based RPG or and action RPG though. Either way you can't go wrong with either of them. ;)Â
Im going to play odd man out, but Lunar Knights. FF3 is a good oldschool RPG, but it kind of got stale. It was just more of the same over and over. Also the UI system and top screen usage was way under developed. Lunar knights is new, fresh and takes advantage of most of the features DS has to offer, plus its a fun game.
