I'm planning on picking up one or the other tomorrow but can't make my mind up. I like the action/adventure look of LN but FF3 seems so much deeper.
Can someone give me a poke in either direction?

Don't get either of them dude. I thought FF3 would be deep and full of adventure: WRONG.
Its boring and beyond repetative, you get sick of it after awhile.
I'd suggest investing your money on a better RPG, like Pokemon.
Also FF$ will be coming out, sure to be promising to any RPG fan.

Hate Pokemon though :(
How can you hate it?
Its a great and solid RPG, and you compete against other trainers online.

Never been my cup of tea. Too cutsey for my liking, uninteresting story, don't care for the online challenge, ''gotta catch' em all'' concept never grabbed me. I've tried them I just don't like them, thats just me though.
Its between LN and FF3 :)
I'm pretty disappointed with FF3, picked it up yesterday and so far I feel they could have done a LOT more with it. I'm not feeling much for the characters, I've gotten lost with no idea where to go; god knows how many times now. It has a lot going for it, though; just don't expect anything epic.
You can't judge Pokemon until you play it.
Its nothing close to the show or cards, the games are just insanely addictive and fun.
Sure you could have it be cute and all that, but that all depends on your choice of party.

I have tried the game's though, I dislike the series at its very core.
But anyway thanks for the input guys :)
i haven't played FF3 but from what my friend said "it was hyped too much, the only reason why it's selling is because it carries the FF title, the 3D aspect on the DS also makes people want to buy it, but other than that it was ok, nothing spectacular."
I have played Lunar Knights on the othe hand and i'd give it a 7/10. It keeps you some-what interested in the fact that it's an Action/RPG. Crawling through the same dungeons towards the beginning to collect certain parts to upgrade your weapon isn't as teadeous as i thought it would be. By the time you do get the feeling of being annoyed, you get sent off to another area so you're releaved.
And also i agree with Pokemon being too cutesy, if they made a "dark" version of Pokemon then i would be interested. The concept of catching them all when the whole theme of the game being "kiddy-ish" just turns me off.
Hey Tomarylin, I have the EXACT same problem as you, I really want to get one of them but I just don't know which one to get!?!?!? And I do kind of agree with you on pokemon, I use to really like it, now I'm confused and I don't know if I'll pick that up after the 1st of June.Goku-stream
I'm kinda leaning towards Lunar Knights now :D. Seems like the safest bet. This is why a DS demo channel on Wii would be cool :o

Definately agree (on both counts), and with both the DS and Wii being Wi-Fi enabled, think how fluent and easy it would be, Nintendo need to come out the gates with that one, it would be ridiculous not to, I hope they announce it soon!
