A few month ago while I was reading a magazine (it says that it is a Nintendo official magazine) it said that square-enix was planing on realising a version of Final Fantasy XII on Wii.
It is true????
I hope so

I don't think that you can watch movies on the Wii as it's a games machine. FF: Crystal bearers seems to be shaping up well though if it has 20min long unskipable cutscencesandrandom turn based battles i won't be getting it!
I hope so, but I think that's unlikely because we already have Crystal Chronicles, the only reason I can think of why would Square do that is because FF is now a PS3 exclusive and as we know the PS3 is not selling very well which means that they will not sell as many copies of FF as they expect if they only stick to that system, so perhaps they want to produce them for the Wii too, but that is just a wild guess.

Actually, Final Fantasy XII doesn't have that many cutscenes, and none of them are very long. I can only speak for about three-quarters of the game, though, since I'm not through it all yet. The longer cutscenes are about five minutes long. And you can skip any of them.
Metal Gear Solid 2, on the other hand.......
[QUOTE="Nick11478"]No. The Wii is getting some half *** version of FF. It's called like Crystal something or other.bc1391I wouldn't call it half-assed. The team that made the original CC are putting alot of time in the Wii version addressing old problems. it also looks like a much better game.
i played the first one although itwas ok there was alot of things that could have easily improved alot of things. FF:CC was more multiplayer game but this one is more SP so im hoping they play the right cards. by the looks of the video of FF:CCCB i doubt it would have exploration in the open lands just like FF:CC which would be disappointing if it was true.

Don't get me started on MGS 2. I like cutscences but they are increasingly (Admit i haven't played FF12) act as padding just to add to the shear length of a game rather than helping to tell a story. They also tend to be right before a boss which leads you to watch them over and over again until you beat the boss. The summons are also VERY annoying casting Knights of the round in FF7 you might as well put the kettle on and do the Times crossword before it finishes.

Funny someone would post Wii cant handle movies or cutscenes, maybe those ignorant children should try Scarface on Wii than and stfu. They have parts of the actual movie in itMrJaco82
i think he was tryna insult FF series by saying the later games are more movie than game cuz u cant skip the looong cut scenes and he's tryna say the wii is for games not games posing as movies... i dunno maybe?

Square did a great job with speeding everything up in FFXII. The combat is no longer random or turn-based (well, it's still kind of turn-based, more like Grandia), and the FFXII-equivalent to limit breaks are interactive, although they have short summon-like cutscenes; you're kept busy throughout them. Summons themselves only take a second, and the summoned beast roams around fighting with you. The combat is a huge improvement, in my opinion.
mmm... I think you got confused, I tought the same thing as you did but right now I was reading that magazine and it said that it was only going to be for the ds but it wouldn´t surprise me if club nintendo made that mistake because they make a lot of mistakes

That sounds better. It seems that Square are finally starting to listen to it's players. I might just have to go out and buy it, but will it work on my UK ps3?
