Not the hardest RPG I've ever played.
Basically the key is to level up near an inn for a bit before each dungeon. If a boss kicks your butt, level up some more, maybe try switching classes around.
Later in the game, you're going to want a Dragoon and a Dark Knight. The Dark Knight will seriously come in handy against multiple foes, and can still dish out alot of damage to single targets. Then you'll want two mage classes.
That leads me to another point, a balanced party is two melee, two mages... perferebly a black mage and a white mage. The red mage can count as both melee and magic, however Red Mage gear is limited towards the latter end of the game.
