Finally, 242 stars!

Congrats.

It took me less than 2 weeks to do it, but I was playing it like crazy. Crazy I tells ya!

I got 242 stars in 6 days...

I played it a lot...

I thought there was only 120 stars!

I only got my Wii this week, and Galaxy today, and I thought 120 stars was a huge amount. But 242? Damn!

Lots of game for the money, that's for sure. Not just quantity, but quality, too.:D

I got galaxy for xmas and still havnt opened it. I don't know i just didnt have the drive to play it at first and when i finally did, my cat at my reciever for the wii. Definitely getting it in time for brawl though, as ive been waiting 6 years for a new smash game.

You get 242 by beating the game completely with Mario and then with Luigi. As for where I am... I only had the patience for 118. Those Snow bunnies and the Epic Luigi coins.:evil:

As for me, 242 Stars and 9999 star bits on both Mario and Luigi, so I guess that about makes it 100%

i also beat the game in roughly two weeks, it was pretty easy in my opinion although it was sstill amazing and fun!

That's me too! I'm still playing the game getting high gold coin scores (it keeps track). You guys should try it too. Some of the secrets just to get coins are superbrilliant and make you apreciate the game that much more! I think there is a secretin the second bee hive place that gets you about 50 extra gold coinsfor example

120 with Mario, unlock Luigi, 120 stars with Luigi, unlock Star Festival area, get that star with Mario (1), get that star with Luigi (1).

120+120+1+1=242 stars

Indeed.I'm attempting to get all 242 stars once again.It took me two days to get all 120 stars with Mario,but I haven't had the time to get far with Luigi; only 57 stars so far.

I agree. Collecting coins does help flesh out the game world more, and some of the harder challenges such as mowing down as many spiky plants as possible in Gusty Garden with time-limited star power become incredibly satisfying to improve. In fact, I only got the 242 stars recently since I was spending so much time doing this.
