Here is a list of some of the most recognised and best titles on Wii:
Legend of Zelda: Twilight PrincessResident Evil 4Zack and WikiMetroid Prime 3No More HeroesMario GalaxySuper Smash Bros. BrawlMario Kart (comes out this month)shearMario
I would also add
Resident Evil Umbrella Cronicles
Koropina Marble Madness ( such a underrated game)
MLB Power Pros ( so much depth to this game)
and that new pinball game that just came out...i forget the name...but its getting awsome reviews....and i heard target sells it for 15 bucks....
Get Galaxy by all means..
As for no more Heroes, I'd say rent it only.
Brawl is pretty much a must have title, and the same thing goes for the upcoming Mario Kart Wii.
Battalion Wars II is another great Wii game, and it includes online play (but no local split screen). Its a real time strategy/ third person shooter. It has a great story with nice cinematics, great use of the Wii-mote, and they really did a good job of introducing the player to the controls, and teaching the player how to play the game. Online play with this game can last you a good while.. I also believe you can find this game for less than $49.99.
Buy a few games. Don't worry, there aren't a lot of good ones for the Wii so you won't be wasting too much money. I recommend: Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash bros. Brawl, Zelda: Twilight Princess, No More Heroes, Metroid Prime 3: Courruption, or Zack and Wiki. Anyone of those games are great. I personally own the first 4 I mentioned along with Guitar Hero 3.
Next you should buy another Wiimote controller as well as another nunchuk so that you can invite family and friends to play with you. Unless you don't have friends and you're an orphan or something.
Then buy a battery charger. They're just like $10 but they'll save you money and trouble in the long run.
