Is it going to be impossible to find or pick up a Wii this holiday season, or do you think Nintendo is going to really ramp up the console shipments this fall? Is it going to be insane to buy one through ebay in November?

If you go to the wii news section, there's an article on Nintendo upping the production.

It's sold out now, going on that what do you think the chances are that stores will have them in ample supply after Black Friday?

Plus they concentrated on getting more consoles out at the start of the year. It's not that they're not making enough it's that the demand is so high it takes people a few tries to get a Wii.

The rule is go to the store 4 or 5 hours early and wait till the store opens, just like anything else. If you want it then you have to work for it.

Well besides the fact that I'm glad you're not screwing your fellow gamer out of a Wii you're in the minority when you say they're around. Most places worldwide still don't have them.

I know, its weird. But it seems like everytime I go to wal-mart (butler, PA) they always seemed to have at least 1 on the shelf. Within a few hours though, there sold out. I just happen to be there at the right time I guess.Lately though, I haven't seen one for a couple of weeks.

The big 3 (Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash bros Brawl) are all coming this year. I'm sure it will bring a new shortage.

I'd like to know if Wii Fit is going to be released this year. That game will sell the Wii to the mainstream like Wii Sports did.

So, I'll say if you can find one right now. Buy it now.

Completely disagree with you here. I have worked for my Wii, that's how I can afford to buy it. I don't have the time or the inclination to wait for 5 hours before the store opens. I can understand doing that when a console is launched, but at this point, you should be able to find a Wii if you want one.

In my expirience if you want a Wii looking for one in a city is harder than if you just drive to a local small town and check out their walmarts. If you think about it, that one drive is better than checking 5 different stores....only if you get one that is :P

Nintendo has been increasing production since launch. They should be producing about 2 million per month by the end of the year or at least next March.

I was at my cousin's wedding in a really rural part of the state and they had 9 Wiis at their Walmart. This was on Monday and they had gotten 15 a week before on Sunday.
