Fire Emblem Awakening - New Trailer

Damn! - Game looks awesome, it'll probably come to North America sometime this year as well - I'm guessing it'll be an E3 reveal.

It had better come to America.

I just hope the DLC episodes aren't overpriced.

ok maybe i've just been spoiled as far as it goes for FE games. I've played Seisen no Keifuu to Shadow Dragon.

1. Laziness (character spirtes are all the same)
2. No plot, at least not a followable or memorable one
3. No character/supports
4. Nothing special about the art or graphics
5. Villain had no purpose
6. New features, such as c1asschanging, were useless
7. No skills
8. No rescue feature (aka no newer features were added that could have easily been)
9. Pathetic excuse for a "remake"
10. Game with a lot of potiential, yet no effort in any of these areas

Not in remake areas

1. Lord was a terrible unit (okay, this trend was only broken one the 7th game but really guys. He gets his legendary weapon early and is still pretty terrible)
2. The game was kind of a breeze to play through?

Good things?

1. Fire Emblem games are great, and this was a Fire Emblem game
2. Marth-tan~ ugu
3. Wi-fi shop
4. Wi-fi Fog Battles (if you could ever find a person who didn't cheat to play against you...)
5. "older fans will enjoy the c1assicness of it" (this is honestly just a poor save... the reason they made this was so they could put marth on the cover)

The second game was not as bad. It was a little better but I'm pretty sure the creators knew that if they kept sending out this kind of quality games the series would kind of go caput. Fire Emblem Awakening looks fantastic though, and look: it doesn't have half of the things on the bad list! And the rest of the list is yet to be detirmined!

It's a remake of the first game. This is like complaining about a FF4 remake not being as modern as the PS2, PS3 games.

Except it was a bad remake because it didn't adapt to any new features. It didn't have to be brand new and beautiful. It just had to add some of the now basic features of the series.
