Ive never played fire emblem. whats the gameplay like? is it any goodbigmacsomethin
It's a turn-based strategy RPG, it's easy to pick-up but harder to put down, and it's garnered itself a decent sized following for a reason.

It's alot like Advance Wars but it has a more in depth story and characters can level up when they fight enemies. You can also use items like Vulneries, which are like health potions and equip different weapons.
It's a unique game series and among my favorite.
I hope it comes out I would get it...
The first Fire Emblem for the GBA was awesome!!!
So I hope it comes out... Eventually...
AND if they plan on making a new FE for DS, it should be 3D...

I truly doubt that Intelligent System will even make an effort to make it 3d. Have a look at the graphical progression of their past titles.
Fire Emblem 6: Sword of Seals - 7: The Blazing Sword - 8: The Sacred Stones (The same)
Fire Emblem 9: Path of Radiance - 10: Radiant Dawn (Not gamecube worthy on Path of Radiance and little to no improvement on Goddess of Dawn)
Advance Wars - Black Hole - Dual Strike (some "amazing 3d mountains" is the difference between the gba and DS versions. Wow. Apparently moving the game from a console with some more power than the Snes to a console with some more power than the N64 doesn't mean that anything changed, apparently.)
Paper Mario - The Thousand Year Door - Super Paper Mario (The same sprites used in all series. Thousand Year Door features sharper textures, smoother frame-rate and more enemies on screen, but nothing else that couldn't be accomplished by N64. Same case with Super Paper Mario which is less flashy than the Thousand Year Door)
What does this show? That Intelligent Systems make slim to no graphical progress with their series, opting to focus on the gameplay instead. I will be TRULY surprised if Fire Emblem DS (if released) has 3d graphics rather than Gba sprites. Same case with the upcoming Advance Wars DS 2.
Edit: @nintendofreak: Yeah, just noticed. I should have known that Nintendo would change the title outside Japan.
