fire emblem or golden sun DS TBA?

I doubt fire emblem is dead since it had a wii release just before christmas. But I dont know about golden sun.

Id be very interested in buying a ds fire emblem though if it came out

I haven't been able to track down an actual news story, but I've read several posts mentioning an upcoming Fire Emblem DS game. I hope this is true because I strongly feel that the Fire Emblem series works far better on handhelds, at least as long as they continue to stick with their tried and true formula. I haven't played Radiant Dawn, but Path of Radiance, as good as it was, just didn't seem like it took enough advantage of what the GameCube was capable of. I played the GBA Fire Emblems for about a year straight (about 6-7 months each), but Path of Radiance only took up about 3 months of my life! :)

Although fans have been begging for years, our pleas have fallen on deaf ears. There is no news of aGolden Sun for any system. Fire Emblem on the other hand seems to have things in the works.strieeyes

Wow, this is the forum for me, i always go on forums that talk about ds fire emblems and ds golden suns because i want both of those to happen, and now there is finally a forum for both!

I never beat Golden Sun 1 nor 2 so i have no idea whether there would be room for a sequel... but it's been 5 years... i sadly don't think it's going to happen, Fire Emblem on the other hand has a Fire Emblem announced for DS without much news about it, i hope it isn't a remake, i want something new and exciting.

Lets just hope that Fire Emblem DS (or whatever it turns out to be called) satisfies our needs!

With the way some companies keep their games hush-hush, it would be nice to imagine a Golden Sun for the DS is under development. Although you have to realize sometimes another installment in a series takes awhile to produce and even longer to announce, if the company wants to be sneaky. Take Starcraft II for example, it's been in production since 2003 and was only officially announced last year (2007). Its predecessor came out in 1998. That's just one example, so it isn't completely naive to hope for a Golden Sun 3 (although it would be nice for even a glimpse to support any claims and rumors).

Fire Emblem is also a great series, and looking forward to see how the DS version turns out.

Yep, its a remake, and its got Marth...yay?

I would expect a solid release date for Fire Emblem at E3. I know Intelligent Systems has been working on it for a while and I think there's a good chance it will come out near the end of the year. If it sells good maybe we'll get remakes of the other early FE games. :D It's high time they were released outside of Japan, and it's high time we had a DS Fire Emblem.

As for Golden Sun, I wouldn't hold my breath. Camelot was a Nintendo 2nd party developer during the N64, GC, and GBA years and they had a great track record during that stretch (Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Golden Sun). But Nintendo let them get away for some reason, and now they're working with Capcom on "We Love Golf!" for the Wii. We Love Golf! Looks like a great game, but I want my Mario Golf Wii and another Golden Sun, dang it. :(

I've also heard that the new Fire Emblem is a remake of the first one(Yes it's with Marth!!).But still no news on a new Golden Sun
