Ok, I'm planning on getting myself a Wii at the end of the month. I also plan on getting two games at first (with Zelda obviously being one). For the other, I thought about getting an FPS to see how the action is with the wiimote. But looking at the selection (Far Cry, Red Steel and Call of Duty 3), well they all seem to be pretty bad, with CoD 3 topping the selection at 7.2.
So my question is, to anyone who's played any of these games, should I still get one (and which one?), or just bide my time and wait for Metroid?
I played (and beat) both CoD3 and Redsteel. I would recommend either waiting for metriod or if you have some cash to burn buy CoD3 and wait for Metriod. Don't go anywhere near redsteel or far cry.
I have played all three and recommend Red Steel, CoD3 was okay but there wwere some frustrating parts but the controls were spot on. As for Far Cry dont give it a second look...
As said, I would wait for awhile for a good FPS (metroid) because based on most reviews and experiences, FPS's have not quite adapted to the hardware to their full potential as of yet.
I'd go for Redsteel, because it is pretty awesome when you get used to it, and Metroid Prime 3(screw Zelda, Metroid is oh so much better, in my opinion).
I really enjoyed Red Steel, it takes a lot of getting used to, and a little pacience, but it is much better than the reviews say. Cont say about the others, but off hand i have to say, stay away from Far Cry.Â
