First Person Shooters Ya'll

I've been playing Halo 3 and i have to say it's revolutionary. Now i dont regret buying my wii. And i have mucho respect for mario and gang. I just think that the Wii has way too much fps potential to go to waste. I personally would love a time splitters/unreal tournament-esque game. Share your ideas here :)

Although the Wii has a lot of potential for a FPS, and as much as I would like to have a AAA FPS game on it, the reality is that most developers are pursuing graphics over gameplay. However, a game such as Counter Strike: Wii would do wonders, in which gameplay can be more emphasized than graphics. Now, does that mean we should see Gamecube graphics on it? No, we can still make a good looking game without overdoing it, and it's involving as well.

We need a game that defies the standard for FPS. And the time is right for one.

PS- we need a Headset that's capable with bluetooth for the Wii.

I would love if they made Power Gloves and shin guards with the motion sensors so that you could fight for real. Icegoten200

In terms of FPS, the first idea that my roomates an I had when we heard about what the Wii controller was full weapon control. Now when I say full, I don't mean tilt the controller and the gun awkwardly rotates to the side, I mean you have two Wiimotes (movement with the d-padsKatamari-style), one for each weapon, and if you switch hands in real life (put controller 1 from left to right hand, etc), it happens in the game. Or if you spin the remote around, the gun spins around your finger. And of course, 1-1 sword/knife mapping. And being able to bend your gun around a corner and fire blindly by turning your wrist the right way. Now I realize that this will probably not happen, but this was our dream.

Free Radical REALLY hinted at making a Timesplitters for the Wii. A LOT. It's very possible, but I don't agree Halo is revolutionary Evolutionary maybe but what exactly did it revolutionize?

Take a look at the front of the box...halo 3...

I'm not saying I won't enjoy a good FPS when itcomes to the Wii, but looking an exclusive 360 title and saying "teh wii n33dz th!$!" is completely counter intuitive. If you want a 360, get a 360. If you want a Wii, get a Wii. Don't try to get them in bed together and don't try to imagine that they're both the same beast.

Isn't Halo 3 the opposite of revolutionary? It introduces absolutely nothing new in any way except for forge. It's a bare bones shooter that got way too popular and drastically overrated. Please tell me what you thought was so revolutionary.

Isn't that what the majority of FPS sequels do? Anyway i don't really care for FPS i'm bored of them. I want more unique and fun games for the wii.

Call of Duty World at War is a great online first person shooter for the Wii! If the Wii had more third party developers making great first person shooters on the wii, a lot of the hardcore gamers would begin to come over to the Wii. Hopefully, this is the beggining of a trend!jej2003
