i duno whether this issue had been brought up but, for those of you who own white lites, most will notice tat the shoulder buttons will turn yellowish after some time. i have sweaty palms and so do my fingers which maybe one of the reason that the sholder buttons turn yellowish. So what i'm about to ask here is, do you guys have anyway to prevent this other than "don't play your ds" or  "don't use the sholder button" or "get another colour"? I'd try seeking for silicon protectors but i couldn't find any that'll protect the button. Please help.

Yes, yes I am quite the professor when it comes to this question, considering I have answered it approximately 4,657 times.  The answer is simple my fellow gamer:

EAT LESS DORITOS!

lol doritos

but yeah, lay off the chips, cheezies too

and well, if you dont care about your warrenty (assuming you have one) i think theres a way you can change the shoulder buttons, but im not even positive about this at all. Never heard of it done, but people do crap like that all the time. Id throw some black sholder buttons on there to give it a nice mix of black and white, i think that'd look good

You should be alright as long as you're washing your hands and bathing regularly. Otherwise you could eventually have one messy ds lite. Nice post man.

i think instead of asking him to eat less doritos, i think you should just be less childish and stereo type-ist. and grow up.
in case you didnt know, sweaty palms are not only for fat people. thin people can get them too. its a condition not a result of being fat.
and he never mentioned he was fat so dont put people down.

Umm, I don't remember mentioning anything about weight or health conditions.  You shouldn't twist my words into sinister flaws.  It is fair to admit that I eat a lot of Doritos, yet am not fat.  I'll also admit that I stuff all my sandwiches with Doritos as well, because I love the darn things.  My trigger buttons on my DS are almost orange due to this, but I'm man enough to admit this.  I was offering friendly advice, and you took it into a territory that was undeserving.  That's your biased interpretation of my advice, and not the message I was projecting.  Maybe you should be more careful with how you interpret things on the internet.  I realize that our anonimosity can leave many people questioning one's intentions, but you need to be a little more careful of your own interpretations.  I forgive you, for I have made the same mistakes in the past.  Take care.
