I disagree as far as the sound track goes but yeah I played GH2 at a friends house right after getting GH3 and playing for like 9 hours straight.
I kept missing notes and being like "WTF!!!!"
but then again GH3 has harder music so it really helps to have more tolerance
my brothers ps2 guitar controller is really bad and the buttons are very sticky, so i cant really say. i failed jordan at 5%, that's how bad his buttons are. lol
as you get older, you tend to realize that your taste in music changes. For example, when i was 15( about three years ago) i was really into punk/alternative rock/emo music. ut after gh, my view shifted towards classic and heavy metal. Now i'm a big fan of led Zeppelin.Thats because we as people tend to want more as we mature. If you listen to current day music when your young, you like it because its simplistic beyond belief and doesnt require much think. Its mindless, but it works for the time. as you grow up, you need more complexity with your music. thats why I believe that the soundtrack in the older gh's are better because they have longevity. They are not fad-driven. The people who made that music back then didnt believe in the MTV philosophy that if you do what they say you'll be famous. The rock of years past is far superior because skill in all aspects were required. Lyrics, guitar playing, drumming. It wasnt just yelling into a microphone for 4 minutes. It had a message, something that was lost in transistion etween classic and current rock. Granted there are good songs in it, but as you continue to grow, you'll find out that most ofthe music in GH3 is slapped on. A good example would be to look at the bonus tracks in part 3 compared to the others. The others contained songs from barely known bands, but the songs stuck with you and it was unique. It had longevity. But if you look at that and compared it to gh3, gh3 just slapped on songs to make people think "hey look! we can be cool too! check out my rockin' pad!." it tries hard to be hip, and fails. hopefully they'll learn from this (probably not) and stick with the older stuff...music that actually revolves around skill rather than blatant product placement and incromprehensible banter.icarus212001
lol I'm 16 and I've been a classic rock fan for years
My favorite song on GH3 is Paint it Black but I love how the have the who on it and misissippi queen so on and so forth
but whatever idiot deicded to put "Rock and Roll all night" on that game needs to die. I HATE KISS SO SO MUCH!

I like how you act like you know more about music because you're 18. Teenagers in general have their own opinions about music. Popular music is popular because it appeals to the broadest audience. Not everyone will like metal, but that doesn't make it bad, and it doesn't make popular music bad because it's all over the radios. Led Zeppelin was a very popular band when they still made music, although not necessarily chart toppers they weren't "underground" or anything like that. And remember a band called The Beatles? They were definently mainstream, but most people look at them as a classic band. Music is music and you shouldn't go around telling everyone that your opinion is right.
15 I love the classic rock stuff, and some Indie stuff, like born ruffians, beck, the books, and some bands like that.
Anyway to answer the TCs question Im not sure I actually havent gone back to play 1 or 2. I think The songs are the best in this version, and "one" is a lot harder on hard then free bird. free bird is actually pretty easy compared to "one".
I did find it easier to hit the notes that GRYBO in an almost straight line (not straight but hopefully you'll understand).
