Found out I got a Wii bundle for Christmas

Why are my parents punishing me?

I need to tell them I'm not interested in it, no sense in them wasting $400 on something I'm not going to use. I have a 360 and spend a lot of time on it.

Unless you guys can convince me it is a good system, but really the only game I am interested in is SMG.

If your folks don't know you know about the Wii do this. Go around and say, "boy, I wish I had an Xbox360. A Wii doesn't look that fun to me," really loud. Maybe they'll send it back. If not, I hope you don't act like a jerk about it.

I have a 360, that's why I don't want a Wii. I don't want them to spend $400 on me..all I asked for was some 360 games and clothes. It sucks because the Wii is sold out all around here soo I know it must have been hard to find, but I just don't think I'd use it that much.

A lot of people are actually going with wii + 360.

360 for all of those great game and wii for the few rare gems (SMG, LoZ TP, MP3, SSBB, RE4, Z&W and a few other killer title)

It's obvious your not a big Nintendo fan or you wouldn't have to be "convinced" to keep it. You should know by now what Nintendo is going to offer on it's consoles. Other than Super Mario Galaxy, there is Metroid Prime 3, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, Mario Kart(upcoming) and Smash Bros Brawl(upcoming). There will obviously be a new Star Fox, Kirby and Animal Crossing and there may be another Zelda come out. There was 2 on N64, and two on Gamecube.

These reasons alone should make you plenty "convinced". Besides, there have been a few good 3rd party titles, not many, but some of them are great. Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Zak and Wiki, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, Elebits and before the mini game rush there was Rayman that actually consisted of some great mini games. I would say that the Wii has had a pretty good first year and you are lucky to have one. Im sure 2008 will be filled with some great suprises and possibly online voice chat that will make Nintendo's online games more fun, for some people anyway.

Also, if you played games before the mainstream audience got ahold of them, the Virtual Console has plenty of amazing games to purchase including AAA hits like Ocarina Of Time, Super Mario Bros 1,2 and 3, Super Mario World and Super Mario 64. Overall, the Wii has a great library for it's first year and looks to be heading into 2008 with a bang. If you enjoy gaming, than you'll enjoy the Wii.

"I really appreciate you guys getting me this, but I honestly don't think I would play it that much. I really don't want you guys spending that much money on me, when it's for something I wouldn't truely enjoy."

If you really need our convincing at this point you need serious help. Here's some convincing for you: Sell it to someone who will play it and go back to your Xbox.
