Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon has its share of faults, but they are far eclipsed by what it does right.GabuEx Review
I C WAT U DID THEIR.
:P
seriously now... so the story is compelling enough to "eclipse" the bad combat? might actually check the game then.

Honestly, that was actually completely unintentional on my part. :P
Well, as I said in my review, if the premise of the story interests you, then I would recommend it. It's told very well, for what it is. If it doesn't, however, then the gameplay isn't going to cover for it. This is really one of those games where review scores are pretty much useless. Those who want what it offers will like it; those who do not will not.
I'll pick this title up eventually, I got the soundtrack off Itunes a few days ago which was suprisingly good as well. I now just feel compelled to get it at some point in the near future.

Yeah, the soundtrack of the game is definitely a huge strong point in the game, understated as it is. The final boss music in the game was probably one of the best final boss tunes I've ever heard in a video game.
Fairly solid score. I'll be picking this game up in the future. Have been wanting it for awhile now, but I just have so many games in my backlog right now that it's better to wait for a price drop. Still looking forward to playing it though. The game has intrigued me ever since I saw the trailer for it.

The Fire Emblem review.
The Castlevania Judgment review. or rune factory oh what nevermind even after a year they never done a review for the gameGS gave it a higher score than almost every other source?? Blasphemy!GamerForcaBuh buh buh but..... teh GS always rates Wii games lower!!!!1 My Wii bias!!11! NOEZ! Sorry, couldn't resist. :)

The Fire Emblem review.
I really just think they chose the wrong person for that review. The primary complaint of that entire review was "it's soooo hard" when most FE fans agree it was one of the easiest in the series.I really just think they chose the wrong person for that review. Don't forget the lack of Mii integration. You gotta have those Miis.

and the lack of waggle. because, you know, turn based strategy games have so much space for waggle commands.[QUOTE="LordQuorthon"][QUOTE="GamerForca"]I really just think they chose the wrong person for that review. "Despite being a Wii game, (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) doesn't make any attempt to use any of the system's strengths, such as Mii support, online support, or motion controls and pointing, even though the advantages of such integration should be plainly obvious." (emph. added)

Motion controls and waggle are not the same thing. Waggle is a motion control, but not all motion controls are waggle. BrunoBRS mentioned waggle, which is not a factual part of the review.

I've seen people equate the two terms, and even if not, waggle was clearly the most common sort of motion control at the time of the writing of that review.
[QUOTE="osan0"]it seems like a bit of a marmite game but i think its worth a punt.Sancroff
Wikipedia to the rescue. I guess "marmite" refers to the marketing slogan "Love it or hate it." Am I right? Learn something new every day. Thanks!
yup. over in england (i think they used to sell it in ireland..but i havent seen it in a long time. i havent been looking for it either though)..its like a jam you put on sandwiches. ive never tasted it myself but ive seen some people swear by it...marmite and cheese sandwich. others absolutely despise it. this was before marmites marketing team realised what has happening and played on it in their adds. i dont know if its sold anywhere else either.Haha just wait for the Conduit 2 to get a 6.5, while IGN gives it a 9.3, (nearly) everyone here will go utterly balistic :PLol at all the people that have been shouting GS bias!
Of course NOW they agree with GS but if heaven forbid GS reviews a wii game poorly its teh BIAZ!!!!11!!!!1

first, just call me bruno :P second, i meant "motion controls" when i said waggle. call me wrong, but as fas as i know, waggle is basically what was available back then, so i just called them both the same thing.[QUOTE="GabuEx"][QUOTE="locopatho"]Another disappointing Wii game :(locopatho
Nothing disappointing about it for me. Was exactly what I both expected and wanted when I first heard about the game.
O right, cool. Would you not have wanted a longer game though?I had put 20+ hours into the game by the time I finished it. I don't know where reviewers were getting the 6-7 hour figure from; they must have been blazing through the game as fast as they could go or something.

O really? That's good to hear, I just assumed 6/7 was correct cos more than one review said so. I guess it's on my "buy when 20 or less" list :)I never looked into the game much but I did get a copy of the soundtrack while at Gamestop, good music.

That was one of the worst reviews I've ever read
