With Golden Sun coming, I really don't know. A LOTR game could probably end up being good.

In no particular order:
A) Super Smash Brothers, using 2D sprites so that more content may be added. Somewhere around the amount Melee had. Online multiplayer(Using a "points" system ala PH) is the standard, and is not bottled up in it's own section. After all, the DS probably can't handle advanced enough AI to be fighting computers. Voice chat may be turned on and off.
B) World of Goo, with around the same level of graphics as the console original. Eight worlds. More goo and gooball types, some of which utilize the microphone and/or the camera.
C) PIkmen, possibly a prequel. Perhaps in only the second dimension to allow more new content.
Guitar Hero DSi-already being made, but I know nothing of it
World in Confilct DSi- I don't know why, but I just want to see it done with a similar artstyle to GTA: CTW. It'd work great if the dev knew what he was doing
Metal Gear Solid- It worked on the GB. Updated graphics and improved gameplay could get it working on the DS too.

Why DSi and not DS games?
After the 3rd GHDS game is released, the next games will be playable on the DSi. I remember seein something about the games being DSi Exclusives, but I can't find the article. All I know is that GHDS will be on the DSi.
Due to some technical constraints, WiC wouldn't work as well on the older DS models. The DSi's improved hardware allows more flexibility and possibly some awesome features that couldn't be done elsewhere.
a new Star Fox for DS, with on rails single player levels and multiple galaxy maps for multiple campaigns, online dogfights
a Kirby Dream Course 2 with online, loads of new courses
a side scrolling Metroid with more than one or two worlds to explore, in the 10 hour or more SP range, and a 1-8 player side scrolling multiplayer shooter component ala Crash Commando (look it up on PS3, its a great online side scrolling shooter)
oh yea an original 3D Super Mario DS game, not a remake or port, an original 3D free roam one.
and a Paper Mario, or Metal Gear Solid.

Yes, yes, and yes. They really should do a Star Fox 64 port or something like that, and just stick with regular controls instead of having the touch screen control everything.
I would love to see something like this on the DS.

yea but i thought Command's touch controls were fine, in fact i liked them a lot but they should have multiple control options

That's exactly what i want for the DS, especially if they were 2D remakes of the first 2 MSX games that would be awesome IMO.
With Golden Sun,Scribblenauts and Gold/Silver remakes on the way i think ther'll be enough to keep me enetertained for a while on the DS. Having said that i'd love a return from Earthbound or a true Donkey Kong game
Gran Turismo
Great PS game...and they made 3 for teh GBA
Y not the DS?
Metal Gear Solid would be an awesome one too.
And how about from the cpu era? Rollercoaster Tycoon...yeah you heard meh Rollercoaster Tycoon.
Without repeating other's choices, I would love to see a "gone, but not forgotten" type of revival:
1. A Crystalis sequel
2. Another entry in the Gargoyles Quest series
3. Startropics sequel
4. A kickass 2D Kid Icarus
5. Clock Tower......the original one that was on the SNES that we didn't get to see here in the states.

yes but GT on DS will never happen, Sony has a handheld
Castle Crashers
Patapon
TMNT: The Arcade GameS
Mega Man (of the good ol' fashioned variety)
Battletoads (I believe Rare continues to develop for Nintendo's handhelds: i.e. Diddy Kong Racing & Viva Pinata)
Aliens: Colonial Marines
Starcraft
Diablo
Pikmin (in the name of all that is holy people, stop calling it "Pikmen")
Also, the DS needs more Ninja Gaiden and Resident Evil games. Keep 'em coming.

I want Mario Tennis and Mario Golf for the DS, those series were always awesome on handhelds
maxx1458
Exactly what I was going to say. They could make some really interesting swing mechanics with the touch screen.
What's the fourth game in your sig from the right? :o
Looks interesting.
I would say Golden Sun, but since that series is being done on the DS I'm not sure anymore. Maybe an original title in the FFXIII universe.

Nostalgia.
How about a stunning revival of the Wizardry series? Or The Bard's Tale. I mean, they're both rather ancient at this point, but the existence of The Dark Spire and Etrian Odyssey proves that there's still a market for games like that! And the DS can clearly handle suitable graphics for such games.
Of course, what with Sir-Tech going under after the release of Wizardry 8, I think the legal rights to Wizardry are still up in the air.
