So I recently got my Wii going online. I assumed there would be demos available, either Wii titles or VC titles. I can not find demos anywhere in any channels except DS demos. Are there any demos? My kids love playing demos (on my 360) just for fun. Am I missing something?

Really. Wow. That's hard to believe. Anyways, are there any future plans for demos that you've heard about?

No. No demos now and none in the future. The Nintendo Channel is the closest thing to a "demo" Nintendo wants to offer.

The Wii doesn't have a hard drive and only recently have we been able to play directly off of SD cards. With that in mind, I don't see the no demo thing as being that strange.

I wouldn't hold my breath on the Wii ever having demos but you never know...

Wow! Tell me what else you saw when you were in the future!

Seriously, man, I know Wii demos are very unlikely but you can't speak in that kind of definitive tone you don't truly know.

With the new memory feature I think Wii demos will be coming soon.

No I know. There hasn't been any sort of outcry for demos, Nintendo already offers a service of previewing games, and a ton of Wii owners still aren't online. This is a sure thing like how the sun will come out tomorrow and my car did in fact hit that cat.

You trust a giant unstable ball of burning gas to not randomly explode and kill us all?

Whatever, man...:P

I sure hope so, there have been plenty of game that I would think about buying, if I was able to get a demo that would make the purchasemuch easier. For now those games will just sit on the back burner

Well if you purchase Super Smash Bros Brawl and go to the Masterpieces section you'll find that demos for VC are just useless.

Nintendo appear to be completely against the concept of offering game demos, even on magazine cover disks.

I wish they would there are countless games I'd like to try before I buy, especially some of the FPS games floating around on the system.

They included a demo disc with preorder (and early?) copies of Mario Kart Double Dash last gen. But i agree, we'll never get a steady influx of demos on wii.

I wish with the new memory solution they would start offering some demos. I look forward to every Thursday evening to see what PS3 demos available to play; I love demos. And they do help sell games. I don't like FPS very much but I played Killzone demo and BioShock and really liked them both and may actually consider buying them one day. Since there is not a whole lot of advertising for Wii games on TV, this could be a way for 3rd parties to advertise their games.

This is true, the new memory solution can open up new horizons for Nintendo and the Wii. And like you mentioned, it will help with some advertising, especially with games such as Wii Music (which most just look at and laugh instead of trying it first and then making an opinion).
