Freeloader dead so soon...

"A new version of the Nintendo Wii firmware has been released which when download will render the Trucha Signer useless. It has been reported and confirmed by members of the hacking community.

"Once the system menu is updated to use IOS37, "Trucha-Signed" discs -- or channels -- will stop working, as will the Freeloader disc."

Sad news, I guess i wont be updating my Wii for a long time.

Can can tell you right now that this is false. I have a freeloader and a PAL Wii with the latest update instaled, and I can tell you it works just fine :) Also, what does 'Trucha Signer', as far as I can tell it's got nothing to do with the Freeloader :S I'd also like to ask what you mean by IOS37? I thought Firmware updates where things like 3.2E?PJ24

i got no idea.

After reading a bit, the IOSxx, is the interface gui or something like that, the latest firmware update, is in preparation for that, and once it out, with release of Wii Ware probably Freeloader will then be disabled. So if you have the update it will work for a while until this one part is unlocked..

You can't avoid it for long, considering games come with the updates included. I guarantee Mario Kart will have this latest update on the disc.

PLEASE HELP !!!!

I have a PAL Wii withthe lastest Firmware, just bought a Freeloader. Tried to use it last night for the first time on a US copy of Winter Games. The Freelaoder appeared to work , I then popped in the US disk and it loaded BUT when I clicked on Start the game just hung on a black screen !!

Anyone got any idea ?

Is your wii set to 60htz in dispay settings? That's the problem for most people: they have it set on 50

Yeah you know its strange... on other devices if I set them to 60Htz the image is black and white. But on the Wii, everything is in Color andmore sharp than it 50Htz.
