so did you let go of the controller or did he? because ive had the wii since launch and i have never dropped the controller nor do I rarely use the wrist straps. so whoever let go of it is the real dumb one imo.

Umm

The strap doesn't keep it in your hand. The notion that you HOLD THE CONTROLLER does it.

Doesn't matter if the strap broke or not

I've dropped the controller once, but that was because the ceiling was in the way of my hand. And I caught it before it hit the ground. In fact, I have so little respect for those who drop their remotes, I removed the wrist strap from the one I use.

You know that only changes what happens to yours right? lol

I mean wouldn't making light of the people that do it have a greater effect?

Yes I do. The wiimotes I let my friends use still have the strap, but I'm basically just showing off, feeling like I'm better than all the wiitards who broke stuff.

If you're using the Wii with such force that it flies out of your hand, even with the strap you can't possibly have it tight enough on your wrist to keep it from flying off. You are probably doing damage to your shoulder if you swing that hard too. Or you just can't hold things... in which case you shouldn't be allowed to own or play a Wii.

THe wii mote has only slipped from my hand once, and thank God i had the wrist strap on. The only time i have the strap on is when playing wii sports and i was playing bowlingand i swing itslips out of my hand and the strap stoppedit from flying into my tv. Now i make sure my hands arent sweaty before its my turn tobowl.
