This might have already been talked about or maybe everyone just "knows" the answer to this...but since I don't really "play" a lot of games and since I'm just newly hooked to animal crossing...I have NO idea the answer to this question.

SO...I see that people have their native fruits. What determines what native fruit you will have? And is there away to get different fruits other than visiting other peoples towns? (not that I don't want to visit other towns...just have NO CLUE what I'm doing with that)

Sorry if this is an obvious thing...again...I'm new at this stuff. :)

Thanks bunches

It's random. There is an easy way to get different fruits, just keep sending presents to your neighbors in town, and there is a chance they will send back a fruit.

What do you mean you have no clue what you're doing with visits? [QUOTE="dtno132"] There is an easy way to get different fruits, just keep sending presents to your neighbors in town, and there is a chance they will send back a fruit.

Uhhh... you can send presents? :|

Yeah, just write a letter, and drag then drop an item.

Thanks. I didn't know that. But now why would they have exotic fruit? I mean, there's only your native fruit available... unless they smuggled it over the border after taking a vacation...

Oh right, this might help you get a something in return, because sometimes they will send a message saying that they don't get the point of the letter. try typing in "Hello, Here is a gift" I know it's stupid, but it only works for me when I type that.

The animals only seem to understand short simple comments and praise you for writing for writing such an awesome letter afterward. I sent messages like "How are you?", "You are cool!", and "We live in Goo Town." with my native fruit in them and got nearly all my fruits that way.

I sent a message saying Hey (Animals Name) Here is a Cherry. (since that is my native fruit. so I figured they will know what the name of the fruit is)

I always type in "I HATE YOU SO MUCH THAT I AM SENDING YOU A (item)". That's what I do every single time I fish up a boot or an old tire. :P

That doesn't work for me...is that all? just drag it? I know that was how it was for the one for the gamecube, but it didn't work last time I tried for City Folk..

Just open the Letter menu, and drop the item on the letter you want to send >_>
