Im kinda of worried and exicted about the future wii with sports...... for baseball,(hopefully MLB2k8 or the pennat chase) because hitting would be the wiimote, for fielding, use analog and wiimote, with the analog stick being ur player, and the wiimote as ur arm(throw). and for pitching, use both, with the wiimote as arm(throw) and nunchuck as maby a breakingball thing, like making ur ball break or speed up.  im happy with that..................... Now, i am a nut for hockey and hockey videogames and i hope there will be NHL 08 or NHL2k8 for wii...... how would the control schme work? im really worried about that. Also, with soccer and B-Ball. This could be a problem. what do you think of my baseball idea and what you think could be the future control schemes for NHL and soccer..... PLZ Post alot!

I'm hoping basketball is fun so I can play all year round. Real basketball in warm weather, Wii basketball with indoor basketball for cold weather....

I would really like to see a hockey game. If MAdden NFL was any indication, there CAN be awesome sports games on the Wii.

The set-up would (ideally) be similar to Wii Golf, holding the wiimote down and using the nunchuck thumbstick to move.

I think that to dribble you could just move the Wii-mote up and down and to switch hands you could fling it towards the other hand. To shoot you would just hold the Wii-mote in your hand regularly but tilted upwards then flick your wrist according to distance from hoop and all that. Hook shots could be used by either holding a button or turing the Wii-mote to one side and making the shot action. To pass put both hands together and push forward. Those are just some thoughts.

Well I left out lots of things like rebounding, dribbling betwen the legsand behind the back, dunking, but that is just the general idea of what I thought could work.

Basketball

-It would dribble on its own.

-You could hold the Wiimote pointing up and then flick it while holding down B and releasing right at the end of your shot.

-Stealing could be thrusting the Wiimote forward and hitting A at the right time.

-Blocking would be reaching up.

-You could move your guy with the Nunchuk.

-Turbo could be colding C or Z.

-Dunking you could just flick the Wiimote like you swing a sword in Zelda.

I'm pretty sure this would work. Tell me if you want me to explain other things or if you dont think something will work.

Maybe for dunking you could use the A button or something to jump and then move the Wii-mote down.

I just hope they use traditional controls(classic controller/gamecube controller) rather than motion sensitive ones on games such as hockey or soccer. Because it's better to have that than a lame unresponsive control like Wii Boxing which looks really fun but when you play it...it's really frustrating.

OFFENSE

Swinging the Wii-mote holding A - passes the puck

Swinging the Wii-mote holding B - shoots the puck

Analog to move

Z to speed burst

Shake the Nunchuck left and right to perform dekes(I think that is the word, haven't watched hockey since strike)

Rotate Nunchuck in circle to do a spin move.

DEFENSE

A button - Switch players

Thrusting Nunchuck and Wii mote foward - Hit

B and throwing the Wii mote foward - Puck steal

Z to speed burst

FIGHTING

This one could be the best part of the game.  It could be similar to Wii boxing.

And that is all I can think of right now.
